This hotel was so squalid, that we walked out to find alternative accommodation as soon as we were shown our room. The entire hotel smelled of stale food. The carpets in the corridors were threadbare in the middle and filthy at the edges. The room we were allocated had stains on the chairs and walls; the sheets were laid straight onto the mattress, and the bedspread did not look as if it had been washed in months / ever. The down-lighters in the bathroom has been painted over and the bathroom window had mould on it. I had booked it through the internet, expecting that for the price (£150 Double B+B) it would be decent - how wrong I was. I have stayed in far better hotels in central London for a fraction of that rate.
If you are looking to woo the lady in your life with a romantic nights stay, then this is NOT the place for you!
