i stayed here with my son in August 2010. An excellent location just on the edge of the resort & only a short walk.
The rooms were clean,Mostly greek & bugarians staying here , so we had the pool to ourselves.
No late night noise so you got your sleep in.
nice freindly staff.
down side continental breakfast .Not that we were ever up by 9 ...Snack bar by the pool a little bit more expensive than the main resort , but the food was o.k

Stayed at The Family Inn with my parner and three of our friends in Augst. The man owner was very nice, the lady shouted at us on a regular basis! I had a slight sniffle and she told me I should stay in my room!
Anyway, apart from that the hotel was very nice, the maids were exceptional, coming in every day. We booked self-catering but were "upgraded" to B&B, so we didn't get to see the self-catering apartments: our room wasn't very big but had what we needed, including a fridge which was good. The pool is really nice and Evie who works behind the hotel bar in the evening is just lovely, bless her! Highly recommend Peppermint restaurant next door, excellent food and service. Also the Palmyra, which is a rooftop restaurant. All in all would recommend Argassi and The Holiday Inn, as it was very clean and the air-con was really good.
If you do go hope you have a fab time, x

The Family Inn was very basic, our room was very small. No room to walk around.
The self catering rooms were bigger, so I would recommend to go self catering because the breakfast was a continental breakfast and it was only served from 7am till 9am. So you cant have a sleep in if you’ve been out.
It really wasn’t worth getting up for.
You have to pay 5euros a day for the fridge to be on and 7euros a night for the air conditioning but you couldn’t live without it, it was nearly 40degrees it was just so hot.
The lady behind the pool bar was English and was very friendly so was the people who owned the hotel, they were there nearly 24hrs a day.
I would recommend this hotel if your not looking for anything special and just a base to sleep. It was in the middle of everything but just out of the way of all the music so you could get a good nights sleep.
We had a problem with the owner about a towel that they thought we had taken. It turned out it was on the balcony, that was the only thing that was bad about it, but she apologised but its just put me off for that reason, but other than that go.

The hotel was only 2 star so was not expecting it to be so nice. The whole hotel was spotless and the maid cleaned our room and changed our bedding everyday. There was hot water all day and even a plug for the sink. The pool bar closed at 7pm so there was it was really quite to get an early night sleep. There were plenty of sun beds available by the pool everyday. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the small beach which was nearly empty each time we went down there. It was only a 3 minute walk to the restaurants, we really liked Piccadilly's restaurant and ate there 4 times. We did not do any of the trips but rented a car for 3 days which only cost 90euros and drove around the island and saw the shipwreak from the top of the cliff top. We drove up to the blue caves and hired a boat when we got there for 10euros each, the is a boat going about every 30 minutes. The boat ride lasted about an hour, was great fun but you will get wet. Loved the holiday and would definitely recommend to others, the couple staying in the room next to us have been going every year for 25 years, thats how much they like it! Only bad points was did get a few mosquito bites and the Thomson rep did not show up for our welcome meeting but not the hotels fault.
