Swallow Panmure Hotel

This hotel is not worth 2 stars even though it says it is 4 stars when you get there. Hotel is very old fashioned, needs re-decorated. Room was terrible, not what the pictures show you. Toilet was tiny, you could hardly fit in it. Bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were just a bag of little beans. Walls are extremely thin, you actually hear everything everyone else is doing, including private stuff. Breakfast was basic, there was hairs in the milk. Would not recommend it to anyone. Only stay here if it is your last and final resort.

I stayed here again and really enjoyed the Hotel. We were able to play on the Monifrieth Course next to the Hotel . The food was great and service excellent. The bedrooms were comfortable. A lovely hotel.

We settled on this hotel after finding the first 4 we tried in the area were fully booked. There is an impressive entrance lobby and the lady on duty was very helpful (as were all the staff)..... .... although there wasn't a double room she said we would be able to push the twin beds together - in the end this couldn't be done as they were different heights and there was a solid piece of headboard in the way...... .... the bath was very tired (to put it mildly) with the enamel worn off in places ...... .... the toilet... more

Between the guy snoring in the next room (walls very thin) and the drunk couple who decided to have a domestic at 4am that resulted in the wall being slammed with an iron (no effect) and the intervention of the Night Porter... Well, not going back. I do have to say though that breakfast was very good, as was dinner the night I arrived. The only thing that spoiled the service was a surly barmaid who didn't know how to pour a pint of Guiness and did not wish to be shown how... "I ken how tae pour a pint, eh??!!" Nice attitude.... more
