Clean hotel with a beautiful view of the 7 mile Alcudia beach which is accessible through the hotel. Only a short bus ride up to the main port where there is lots of restaurants and bars. Bus stops are right near to the hotel and are quite frequent.
Good internet facilities, great cocktails to choose from. Was not too keen on the buffet food so ate out which was good. The Underground bar is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and offers a wide variety of english meals for those wanting something familiar.
A general store located right next door to the hotel which is good for snacks and drinks. There's also a cash machine there too.
Hotel staff are friendly, pool is really nice and there is a pool bar where you can get afternoon snacks which are good and reasonable.
Boat trips go from the jetty located nearest to the hotel.
All in all a pleasant hotel with spacious apartments, good views and a nice atmosphere - only negative was the food.

Our first impressions of the hotel were great. The room was really nice and the pool area was a very good size. The amenities in the hotel were good and the maid service was prompt and thorough.
We only ate at the restaurant a few time as the selection of food on offer wasn’t brilliant although you could always rely on a plate of chips. We found the best place to eat was further down the beach at a place called the 'Underground Bar' (meaning London Underground).
The food here was nice and well presented, the staff seemed pleasant and it wasn’t too expensive. Most evenings we made our own dinner as the food was reasonable and we could make it at our leisure.
As for location, the beach was on our door-step and there was a really nice jetty which, in the evening you could walk down and see all the fish etc swimming about. The only problem with the beach was having to pay for our parasol thing but I suppose that is to be expected.
The other option was to get a lounger by the pool which, as you can imagine had to be 'reserved' (very early in the morning).
It was only a short bus ride away from the main shops in Alcudia and although one evening we walked back from there via the beach, I wouldn’t recommend it. Sands not the easiest surface to walk over 4 miles on!
There wasn’t a lot of shops around where we were except for a really good supermarket which stacked a lot of stuff but some of the staff weren’t very nice.
All in all this was a good hotel with a brilliant location and as long as you’re willing to cook for yourself a few evenings then you'll have a great time.

We have just come back from a two week holiday at Viva Bahia. What a fantastic hotel! It is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Our apartment was massive and very clean with a large balcony.
The entertainment was excellent. We took a five year old child with us and she really enjoyed herself. There is entertainment all day and then there is a children’s disco every night at 8.30 which we all enjoyed!
The pools were very clean, there were two little pools and also a big pool, all very safe for children.
The sea is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and there is a supermarket next door to the hotel which was very convenient.
The majority of people there were German and there was only maybe two or three English families there but this did not cause a problem as all the entertainment staff spoke in English.
The food was excellent, different things to choose every night. Always very hot and tasty and you could eat as much as you wanted. Very clean restaurant with excellent waiter service.
We enjoyed the hotel that much we are thinking of booking again to go next year.

I've just got back from a weeks stay at the Viva Bahia with my wife and two children aged 15 and 9.
The apartments were very large and clean, we requested the lower floor because our son likes to climb, we were given the ground floor with a pool view it was lovely.
The entertainment was basic, but funny we had a laugh! The pool was very clean and had a life guard on all day everyday to watch the children a big bonus for those who have a giddy son like mine with no sense of danger.
The hotel food was lovely and the snack bar, we ate here for five days even though we were self catering. You have to get the bus or taxi (10 Euro) into Alcudia town for all the shopping, we done this once and ate at the Taste of India what a mistake the service was slow, staff seemed to ignore us, more for the people they recognised and the bill was a joke, well overpriced wouldn’t recommend it.
The staff at the hotel are lovely and very helpful, overall we have a great time at the viva Bahia, beach just a stone throw (check it out on goggle earth) I would go back again.
Bring some mosquito spray for the evening, they won't touch you if you wear the spray, they are only small little things and you don't realise they've bitten you until the next day.
