The Bull Hotel

We booked the Bull Hotel after a ferry trip to Holyhead - and on a website which awarded it 4 stars. The hotel was not dreadful but we certainly did not think it was worth £90 a night and wouldn't stay there again. Our bedroom was spacious but very worn and old fashioned - its a long time since I have seen lino in a bathroom! And certainly wouldn't expect to see it in a "4 star" hotel - nor would I expect to receive those little plastic sachets of shampoo/ shower gel.... Very basic hotel, staff really friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the hither made an awful noise during the night. I will stay there again but paying no more than 40£ per night.

Spent a weekend at this hotel when my partner was staying there with work. There's not much of interest in the town of Llangefni, and there don't seem to be any decent places to eat or drink except The Bull. The proof of this is that it's very popular with locals at the weekend. The bar has a good atmosphere, and the real ales are very good, Reverend St James being a favourite.
