Elsinore Hotel

Having read some of the previous reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. We booked our break via Travelscene, an internet tour operator. We paid £55 each for a 2 night dinner, bed & breakfast stay. Had no trouble finding the hotel, do some research on the internet before you go, the hotel has a website with a location map. We parked on the promenade near to the hotel. There is a charge for parking on the prom, £2 for upto 4 hours, £3 for over 4 hours. Charging period is 10am to 4pm. We checked in on Friday at 12.45, the room was available... more

The hotel looked nice on the website right on sea front. Location is the only thing good about it. Man in charge when we arrived we could not understand he gave us wrong room booked we had single instead of double room very cramped. We booked for bed and breakfast the breakfast was orange juice, coffee or tea, cornflakes and toast nothing else at all i asked another man in charge about the breakfast no sausage bacon etc and he repieled we have fresh bread daily thats all, this added extra cost to us has this was not enough to eat we had to... more

when i read all the views on this site about the Elsinore Hotel, i seriously concidered not going for our little break, but off we went with baby in tow,we arrived with a lot of trepidation, and yes first looks are not very appealing( the outside could do with a lick of paint) but when we entered the hotel we where greeted with a smile and shake of the hand, are trepidation reduced and the only thought was the state of the room, we recieved our key and entered the room which had plenty of space for two adults and a small child,clean towels... more

My fault entirely....only cost 40.00 per night for the two of us so it was never going to be great was it !... as we drew up to the hotel it was blatantly the most run down on the row.... hotel reception drab with some very ill and sorry looking fish in a filthy fish tank...Manager was freindly enough.....the room was so tiny but the bedding was clean . Some of the bedroom furniture was broke and very shabby. The only saving grace was we had a front room and the views were great ! The shower room was small very shabby but seemed clean... more

while we normally stay at a chain group hotel (travel inn/holiday express etc) we were attending a function in llandudno, where there currently aren't any so we had to use a private one. we chose the elsinore from a list, mainly based on cost as we planned to spend very little time in the hotel due to attending the function and we were expecting a late night facilities were ok, a double bed, tv in room almost as big as the bed, kettle,tea/coffee facilities a shower and toilet en-suite. but...the shower was just large enough to get in,... more
