5 Star quality at sensible prices
from 01Tommy
Thank you very much for a fantastic weekend, after completing the three peaks challenge, it was a pleasure to find a friendly and welcoming hotel. The service was excellent and extremely friendly. We had a very enjoyable evening meal, quality and service you would expect at a top class restaurant. The accomodation was very comfortable and spacious. We would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. Excellent value for money. Some of us managed to use the facilities which eased away the aches and pains. Many thanks to you all
Excellent service, and beautiful surroundings
from D_L_Cabrera
I tend to use this hotel on a regular basis throughout the year. The restaurant main menu is a little limited, however the level of services more than makes up for it. The hotel also has good leisure facilities.
Enjoyable Stay
from Rp&LC
We have just had a very pleasent stay at this hotel (shame the weather wasn't as pleasant!!!) When we arrived we were a little unsure what to expect as the reviews on this site were very mixed, we needn't have worried though the room was clean & tidy & the staff were friendly. Due to the weather we had our first night in the hotels pub bar next door, We had a meal in the pub bar typical pub grub plentyful & value for money, The bar was being run by one of the chiefs & a Bar man that night & both asked if our meal was OK & all were...

Good Food
from A TripAdvisor Member
Just stayed over the easter break in this charming Motel style hotel. The hotel had a wonderful restauarnt were during our break there was a harpist playing to us each night. The restaurant was extremely busy during our stay, however the staff appeared unfazed and were as cheerful as ever The food was excellent and the steak I had was cooked to perfection. The Head Chef (I think it was him, tall very straight dark chappy looked Italian) came out to speak to the guests, although I didn't get the opportunity to speak to him,t we feel...

Very average, rather dirty
from A TripAdvisor Member
This really was not what I expected for the money. The whole decoration and air of this hotel is tired and needs a facelift, and the room we had was not properly cleaned, with dust and cobwebs visible. Breakfast was OK, but staff do not seem very happy, and this is reflected in the standard of service they provide. There is a nice big car park, if that counts as a positive! Overall, we spent two days wishing we'd booked somewhere else...
Fantastic Food and Excellent Customer Service
from Sharon023
This hotel was recommended to us by friends and we were not disapointed. Stayed for two night break and had a fantastic time. We found the staff to be very courteous and friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We dined in the restaurant both nights and found the food was extremely good value for the money. I cannot find anything negative about this hotel, the rooms are well presented and also good value for money. Anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of a city life visit this hotel.
Dirty and over-priced
from UkHotelguest
It wouldn't be so terrible if it only cost half what it does. Room was filthy, with cobwebs, dead and living insects, scuff marks, dust and mould. The bathroom was no different, with rotting frames and mould all over the shower tiles. Breakfast was no better than the cheapest B&B, so if you like cheap bacon and economy sausages it could suit you very well. The management think their hotel is mavellous though, so there's not much point complaining... Avoid this one.
Lovely hotel with great facilities. Good quality food
from Traveller99963
Most of the rooms are in a motel style, with rooms opening out onto a parking area. The rooms are quite large, and with a king size rather than ordinary double bed. Our pet dog was made welcome. Nice gym and swimming pool facility, also sauna, jacuzzi etc. Restaurant was really nice, with excellent quality food and a very nice ambience. In addition, they had a good wine list, and sold decent beers, such as Old Speckled Hen. The room was a little pricey at £100, but well worth it in my opinion.
okay but a 10.30am check out time!!
from EuroTravellerPG
We stayed here because it seemed to be the only place we were able to book online in this town (£100 for 2 peole B&B incl vat). The hotel is located approx 0.75 miles on the London side of the town centre This is a chalet style hotel with all the rooms located at the rear of the main building, each with their own front door. The first room allocated to us was a smoking room and we asked for a change as it was intolerable (musty smoke smell) although it seemed reasonable well kitted out otherwise. Instead we were upgraded to a...
