Siesta 1 Apartments

just returned from a 1 week holiday, apartment was ok, what you can expect from a 3*** , entertainment a bit poor, same thing all the time, entertainers below average, red lion food ok but only just,red lion staff quite ignorant on times, room quite spacious but quite often a foul smell would waft in from the sewers, found a few ants on the balcony but not really a problem, pool good, would definately go back to alcudia but not to these apts, on the whole reasonable. we were on the 7th floor and had excellent wiews

Having just returned from a weeks stay, I have to say that the Hotel Siesta 1 is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The apartments are clean and a good size. All apartments have what you would expect to have back home, microwave, toaster, etc. We stayed half board and the food is what you would expect for a mid budget holiday. Breakfast is a full english, cereal and as much fruit juice and tea as you can drink. Evening meals are always different. I have three children 5, 4 and 2. Only one night did my 2 year old refuse to eat what was on offer, but the Red Lion pub which belongs to the hotel situated next to where you eat offered to make her something for free. The staff are really friendly and any gripes are delt with straight away. The pool is fantastic and big, but always clean. My only complaint is where the childrens' entertainment is situated, they have 1 euro rides like in Asda or Morrisons and arcade machines. Also, they have sellers selling items that flash, laser pens, bracelets and a lady that does hair braids and extentions. As you can imagine my children, like all children where want, want, want. Apart from that, we are planning to go back next year to a really enjoyable hotel.

We have just returned from a week long stay at Siesta 1 apts which was our first break in Alcudia having been to other resorts in Majorca and we had a brill time..the studio apt was perfect for me and my 9 yr old son, spotless clean with everything you need at hand, toaster hairdryer tv etc. and the air conditioning was super as it was very hot. Hotel staff were very friendly and gave me adjoining room to my sister and her family which was great. The food at the Red Lion was great with a wide variety to choose from..pool was fantastic and kids area great for my two nephews aged 5 and 2, even my 9 yr old loved it..entertainment was a little boring, much of the same thing every night but the kids enjoyed it and we did go out most nites..i felt some of the the entertainers did not bother with our kids very much maybe because we didn't enter them in the kids club but the different ages of our kids meant they would be in the club at different times so there was no point...all in all we had a great time in Alcudia and will return and will def stay at the Siesta 1 again...!!!

brilliant huge pool, great room, nice meals in the red lion, fantastic location, but port area at the harbour 2miles away much more upmarket and lots more to do there.. jamaican street traders a nightmare..on site entertainment was very poor especially the comedy show never seen an act as poor.. all in all a fantastic holiday but apartments need proper live acts not same old same old

lovely apartments, pool was the best we have seen, fantastic location really quiet and only a stone throw from restaurants etc.. the red lion under the hotel,the food was excellent reasonable prices on food but like most places drinks are becoming very expensive, the spar shop was a rip off go to the eroski if you can find it, manuel and fernando the waiters were very nice people.. the entertainment on site was quite eye opening we have never experianced rubbish like it, we had to go out every night to avoid it.. all in all a brilliant holiday just shame about the nightly entertainment

i've just got back from my hol at the siesta 1 apartments, alcudia. We had a brill time, it was really clean and the staff we're friendly. I went with my partner and 2 children aged 3 years and 8 months. My 3 year old loved the mini disco and the entertainers we're brill! The entertainment was good quizs,bingo,reptile show and a parrot show! I only have 2 faults the cot provided for my baby was filthy and the Thomas cook rep was useless! she did'nt even display our transfer times and when we tried to find her she had another day off! we had to find a thomas cook number and phone to find the info out ourselfs

Just came back from a week in the Siesta 1 apartments and must say that despite the weather, what a lovely time we had. Our party was 3 adults( 2 pensioners) and a 7 yr old child and we found that the place was great for all of us. The pool was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful and the entertainment and kids club staff were also great. We stayed half board, and although the food wasn't quite 'Michelin starred' quality, there was a nice choice and it was enjoyable. The location wasn't bad either being close to the shops and not to far from the beach, so all in all, as you can probably tell, I'd have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone

This was my 1st time abroad for nine year and going as a single parent with my 4 year old daughter and this being her 1st time abroad. When I got to apartments I checked in and got my key for my apartment, when I opened the door I thought wow this is realy nice and clean and the view from the balcony was amazing especially on a night when the pool was lit up and the sun was setting. We were eager to venture out so we quickly changed and walked to beach which is a ten minute walk down the road but on a first walk down it took a hour as there is loads off shops and restaurants to look at, when we got to beach it just looked how it did on the pictures on the internet White sand and blue sea and water warm. As we were half board we got our evening meal and breakfast buffet and to be honest I was not keen on the evening meal buffet at any night and neither was my daughter, as for the breakfast buffet we only managed to get up in time for it 1 morning as my daughter was getting up late after having a busy night the night before at mini disco and the entertainment but the 1 morning we did it was lovely a good traditional English fry up mmmmm. The pool was fantastic but a bit cold but that didn't seem to bother my daughter, the kids pool was great even I had fun with the falling bucket the only thing was there is no sunloungers next to only over the hegde that surrounds it. On a night there was a mini disco at 9.30 every night apart from Saturday and this followed by a a quiz or bingo for adults and then was something else I was bit disappointed on our last night the reptile people were ment to come but didn't show and I really wanted to confront my fears of snakes lol.the people were realy friendly and most talk alot of English so you don't have to explain your self to much, we also went to a water park the western 1 it's about a hour away on a coach and that was fantastic my daughter was amazing she loved it. It's only being a week since I got back and I'm already planning on booking again to go back next week but this time I will go self catering. I absolute loved this holiday I was nervous going at first on my own with my daughter but every 1 made me feel welcome.

just got back from siesta 1 apartments mallorca and could not wait to get home. The studio was very small, full of ants and as for the beds you will wake up every hour with chronic back pain as the mattresses are so cheap and hard they are nasty and it is not possible to sleep on the bed settee or the pull out bed as they are worst. we thought we were getting a 2 bed apartment instead we got a nightmare studio that smelt of sewerage and was crawling with ants.
we complained to the reception and their attitude was to blame thomas cook who were not any better they gave us a form to fill out which is probably in a bin already.
don't go here it will ruin your holiday.

went to siesta1 june 2008 and hotel was immaculate , rooms spotless . pool rea was great only dissapointment was queing for sun loungers .. booked again for july 2011
