The hotel is a Victorian building about a 10 minute walk from the town and the race course. Very friendly helpful staff, that cooks a wonderful breakfast. The rooms at the front of the hotel may be a bit noisy with the traffic early in the morning. York Minister worth a... more

Apart from the rather small overpriced room, there was mold on the walls as well in the room as in the bathroom. When I complained the mold was wiped away with a brush and the bits landed on my suitcase. When I wrote a letter of complaint I did neither get an answer nor an excuse. Cannot recommend the place at all.
