First impressions good, nice and clean. Friendly staff, day & night adult entertainment was average for this sort of holiday. Rooms seem to be of standard size, so whether it was two or four to a room it was still the same. We had four to a room and it was a bit cramped. ... more

my home is your home tu casa es yo casa
very friendly hotel the staff were fantastic from the cheery maids to the barstalff! and the retaurant waiters and waitresses inculuding the managers. The entertainment team went out there way to make sure you had a great time and they worked extremly hard on thier shows plenty of energy and always a friendly face. Food was top drawer my wife and myself like spanish but they did plenty for the brits and my two granchildren always had a good choice and a friendly chat with the staff. In all a clean hotel handy for the beach good food friendly staff and a lovely resort well done !
You've got to go here. Fantastic Family Holiday
Myself, my partner and his 8yr old son have just returned from 2 weeks at the delfin verde and has been a fantastic experience for the three of us. As soon as you arrive you are made to feel at home, by all the staff, everyone is very friendly. The rooms are cleaned every single day, if you don't want it done in the morning you can leave a sign on the door and the maids will come back later in the day to do it. For the food, as I am very fussy about my food I was worried about being able to find something to eat considering it was all inclusive. However I needn't have worried, there were chips every night if you wanted them but they also had pasta, spaggetti, steamed potatoes, jacket potatoes and mash, then they would have all different types of meats mostly in some kind of sauce, but then there was another section where it was mostly bits of meat that one of the chefs carves whilst your there. there is also a section for vegetarians and a mini kids buffet. The kids buffet is absolutely brilliant as it is lower down and is more assessable to children, this mostly contains similar food to the adults but may sometimes also have a slight alternative such as instead of chicken pieces one night like the adults the children may have chicken nuggets, although if you wanted your child to have the chicken rather than nuggets they could also choose from the main buffet. all the staff in the restaurant are very friendly and help keep your children entertained while your eating, such as if a child is crying they will come over and pull faces at them and stuff, nothing is to much trouble for them. Kids World Club:- There were 3 different age group clubs, my partners lad went to cool dudes which is for 5 - 8 years olds, he absolutely loved the club and the staff. They did lots of different activities both around the hotel in their kids club room and also off site. The staff at kids world were also very helpful. My partners son suffered a serious head injury before we went away but as he wanted to go to the club we just warned the staff about it, so they kept an eye on him for us and gave us updates on how they thought he was doing, such as if he had been unusually quiet etc. All the staff made an effort to get to know all the children really well. The only downside is they have a day off how inconsiderate are they (only joking). Bar staff :- Majority of the bar staff speak very good English, and they are all friendly and out going, please make sure you give them a really nice tip either during your holiday or at the end as they work unbelievably long hours and they will bend over backwards to get you what you want. Entertainment:- one word fantastic. However i think you have to join in to appreciate the entertainment, in the morning around 10.30 - 11 they start with the activities they tend to do the adult and the childrens activities at the same time so you dont need to worry about where your children are whilst your enjoying yourself. For adults the activities include things such as rifle shooting, pistol shooting, archery, waterpolo, football, football tennis, volleyball, french bouls, throwing bean bags on to a target, connet 4, bingo and much much more, for the children they also did very similar games but a lot was simplified for them, the best thing about the childrens daytime entertainment was that it was always in the shade so you didn't need to worry about them burning in the sun. Night time entertainment was also very good from about half 8 they do a mini disco for all the children and they do party games and dances etc, then later they give out certificates for the activities during the day for both adults and children, i suppose this is the point many people complain about the entertainment because if they are boring during the day and don't join in on the games they don't appreciate the presentations, but because we joined in, we enjoyed this time especially when we were getting our certificates and t-shirts etc, but you also enjoy it because you also get to know the others who join in the games so even if you don't win, you watch your new friends recieving their prizes, (So get joining in). At 10.00 the main proffesional entertainment comes in out of two weeks I think there were only 2 nights that we didn't particularly enjoy but the rest were absolutely fantastic. The swimming pools were a very good size, there were two a big one and a baby pool which are quite close together which is good for people with a few children particularly if they have a baby and an older child as they can watch the both in different pools without to much hassle. There is also a lifeguard whom watches over the pools throughout the day. The beach was about a five minute walk away. It has beautiful soft sand and the sea was very clear and warm, there is also a section on the beach where you can hire pedaloes, or go on an air bus or banana boats, or go parascending and much more. Overall this was a fantastic holiday for families, I would not really recommend it to couples as it is very children orientated. I don't thing there is anything bad I can say about this hotel and especially not about any of the staff. If you go here you WILL have a fantastic time i'm sure.
Absolutely Superb
We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and to be honest it just went to quick. The hotel staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble from the receptionists to the kitchen and bar staff. The food could not be faulted and there was so much choice. The whole place is kept so clean and tidy you could not ask for a better standard. The childrens clubs and reps really made our childrens holiday they were brilliant. The swimming pools are kept lovely and clean along with the poolside and the good thing about this is that they have their own lifeguard. I would reccomend this hotel to families, it is great value for money and one of the places we would return to.
Superb Happy Holiday
We have just returned from a week at the Hotel Marina Delfin Verde in Alcudia, Majorca. Having read a number of good reviews prior to arrival we were hopeful that we had made a good choice and we were certainly not let down in anyway. Our party consisted of myself and wife Julie and the two girls Sarah, aged 16 and Amy aged 5 (although she has just had her 6th birthday) and there was plenty to keep us all occupied and relaxed. The Hotel is spotless throughout and the staff could not have been more considerate and cheerful. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for them and unlike some places I have stayed I never saw a single disatisfied person during the whole week. We stayed in one of the interconnecting Family rooms overlooking the pool although all the rooms are identical in size with plenty of space and well featured with comfortable beds and full air-conditioning controlled via a handy remote. Each room also has a TV with some British channels if required, and a safety deposit box. The Hotel is only a matter of 10 minutes walk from the beautiful sandy Alcudia beach, which gently shelves out making it ideal for the smaller kids as well. There are plenty of beach beds costing around 3/4 euro's a day but the Hotel has a large well maintained pool for the adults with a smaller one for the toddlers alongside it. It was cleaned every night and was always spotless. Poolside beds do suffer from the curse of the early morning towel reservations but the Hotel staff try their best to keep this to a minimum. The food and drink was plentiful and quite varied, although some of the combinations were a bit strange ( I still haven't mastered battered onions rings for breakfast). It was always hot and well prepared and as we were AI we could try whatever we fancied and leave if it was not suitable. There is also a special kids menu in its own part of the main restaurant. During the day the poolside bar and cafe was open from 10.00 until 6.00 serving drinks and a variety of sandwiches, burgers, chips etc. The on site Entertainment was great for the kids during the day and early evening with 3 levels of kids Clubs, as well as plenty of more sporty activities for those with the energy to participate. We just relaxed for the week. The only disappoinment was that between 8.30pm and 10.00pm the entertainment took a real nose-dive while the Reps tried to come up with ever increasingly more embarrassing ways to fill that time gap until the professional entertainers came on. That may have just been me not wanting to take part in entertaining the rest of the residents but the proper acts were all extremely good and worth seeing. When the shows ended around 12:00 there was very little noise to bother others which was a real bonus. All in all I would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone with families as it has the lot.
Fantastic want to go back!
Just returned from this Holiday, we used to go with airtours but no more! Staff fantastic, reps so helpfu, you are really made to feel welcome. The hotel is just great for kids, the kids reps really made you feel able to relax while they took your kids for an afternoon of fun. And that they were capable of taking care of your little ones ( NOt the usual bored teenager that wasn't bothered just there for the sun!) Well done JMC and Thomas cook, we will return.
pure magic
We have just returned from a great fortnight at this hotel, where the food, accomodation, entertainment, were excellent. this hotel is situated in a beatiful part of alcudia with lovely scenery and lots of places to visit, old alcudia and port alcudia, shopping great, friendly bars and restaurants. Kids clubs really friendly great for entertaining children and giving you a break. A big thanks to entertainment staff for a great time and a lot of laughs. (Marcio, dina, steve, Alexandra, chris. Also kids reps, josh, nat etc.) This hotel was great for families, we also met a lot of great families. All in all a fantastic familiy fun filled holiday.
great pool!
We've just returned from a lovely holiday at the delfin verde! can't flaw any aspect of the hotel, staff where very friendly and our general hotel kept very clean! the all inclusive food and drink was excellent, wide range to choose from and there was no limits or deposits paid on glasses for alcohol! daily cocktails were delish!! nice big pool, even tho there was alot of inflatables floating around there was plenty of space to have a swim or just bob about! i would highly recommend this hotel and would def go back in the future, alcudia was also a lovely part of majorca!
Excellent Choice
Just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. Everything was spot on. The hotel was spotless and there were always cleaners around during the day in all areas. Staff were very friendly and polite and very efficient. The meals were very good with an excellent choice for everyone, even vegetarians. This hotel would suit families, young couples and middle aged people. The only down side was the adult evening entertainment as this really does need a lot of improvement, but there are plenty of bars nearby offering 'live music' to attract the customers.

A Wonderful Time!
We booked this package holiday with Thomas Cook. Hoping that the price was not a reflection on the standard (but true bargain ahoy!) General Hotel: The hotel was clean and smart. There are vending machines in reception for forgotten items and food/ drink. The Reception staff are very friendly and helpful and will gladly share local knowledge with you to enhance your holiday. The swimming pool area is well maintained, there is also a lifeguard by the pool daily. There are sun beds but these will be full up quite quickly after about 9 am. There are a few large family groups that meant the beds/ chairs do not satisfy the amount of holiday makers at the hotel. However, this means you go to the beach which is much nicer and only 8 mins max. The Bar downstairs is open from 10am till 12pm. The bar staff are very efficient and super fast. They must be commended! The daily cocktail is also a must! They do have sandwiches and chips available for occasional snacks. The restaurant is always full of a range of food. As a vegetarian I was very impressed by their range. The breakfasts were wonderful and the lunch and dinner buffets are also plentiful. There is wine/ beer and soft drinks available with all meals! The staff are also extremely hard working and are always clearing away and topping up food trays. Rooms: There were three of us sharing a room, and although we expected it to be cramped, the room was spacious and had enough storage space for all our goodies. Our balcony view was over the front entrance, although we thought this may make it noisy we did not get disturbed. The bathroom was nice, had the basics we needed! Only one power point though which is in the bathroom! We had a maid service everyday which was great, as well as air conditioning. There is a TV but the remote control for both air con and TV have to be collected at reception (TV control needs a deposit) the TV will work without it! Safe Deposit boxes are also there for a deposit. Entertainment: The entertainment programme runs daily for adults and kids. The evening show (for adults) starts at 10pm. The Brazilian and Flamenco shows are great. The magician too is amazing! There is even karaoke for those brave enough!. The Ents team also try their hand at a range of popular musical shows, as well as run kids disco and party dances. However, the bar will close at 12pm. Meaning that if you want to carry on the best area for the bars and clubs are a small walk away. ‘Bells’ is particularly good after 12pm/ 1am and closes about 6am. The hotel is extremely near club ‘Menta’ however for those who are happy to not go too far. However remember clubs can be pricey drinkwise! Activities: Thomas Cook run a range of excursions around the island as well as some evenings. The ‘Party Night’ was slightly drawn out (but free!) ‘Pirates’ is supposed to be very good. We choose to hire bikes one day and go into Old Alcudia (nice boutiques) and Cala Picafort. The roads mostly have cycle lanes which is great and the roads are nice and flat. We also caught the local bus into Pollenca ( worth the visit-nice beach) and Palma. An ‘Ida y Vuelta’ ticket to Palma is around 9 euros per person and the standard of public bus is a lot hirer than the UK. Line 8 has a good number of buses that run till about 8pm from Palma. Well worth it!!! Plus the bus stop is about 3 mins from the main hotel entrance. Overall this hotel was a great base for the beach and for exploring the island. The staff are friendly. The food is good and the beds are comfortable. As an all inclusive we got a great deal and would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Alcudia. It is about 15mins from the main port area but a very straight forward walk. We had an excellent time and hope you do too.
