just returned from 1 week at delfin verde, sept 17th2011,with wife, daughter and 12yr old grandson.we had fantastic time weve been to majorca 16 times, 1st time at this hotel staff friendliest weve ever met.you usually get 1 thats miserable or unhelpful not here.
hotel was clean some people shouldnt go on holiday they seem to constantly find fault.i defy any family who cannot find something suitable to eat at buffet also the pool snack bar was great.
our grandson is fussy eater but not here, weve stayed at 4 star hotels that the food has been nowhere near as good as this,
weather was great that helped.we found trips to other parts of island lot more expensive than they used to be.avoid allday trip to marineland as not enough to do to verify cost you can see it all in half day cost £127 for 3 adults + 1 child. i would suggest avoiding booking trips with reps as its more with them they are on commission.holidays are dear enough without subsidising there wages. i would recommend this hotel to anyone very child @ adult friendly.

Sep 2011, Horrible Wee Man

Prior to going out to Alcudia read reviews and thought that these can't all be correct. On arrival hotel was beautiful and clean and staff couldnt be anymore helpful.
First couple of days food really good and from there on in drastically went downhill. We are definately not fussy eaters but ate toast and yoghurt in morning, baguette by pool bar for lunch and soup n pudding for evening meal. Ate out most nights even tho paid for all inclusive.
Entertainment team worked really hard but entertainment for adults was like sitting back home at an eveing in a Haven Holidays caravan park tho must say had better nights there. All drinks at bar NOT STRONG would go as fard as saying think they were watered down. Stopped serving at midnight and were asked to leave by 00:20 as staff wanted to go home!!
Would DEFINATELY NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. Will be making formal complaint to Thomas Cook re this hotel!!!

Loved our holiday

We have just returned from 2 weeks all inclusive, 4 adults and 1 8 year old. The Staff are excellent, loads of fun things to do through the day, friendly atmosphere all round, Steve and Martin were brilliant, The restaurant was spacious, clean and food was delicious although repeated a few times, the kids menu was brilliant. Evening entertainment started a bit late at 10 so our son was too tired to let us stay up, and as the outside seating area isn't very well lit and the play area is in darkness past 2 pools it wasn't easy enjoying the evening and keeping an eye on him. The rooms were clean and basic, with free air conditioning, TV with 1 English channel, the beds were very uncomfortable, combined with the constant noise from the opposite hotel and screaming adults at 2am made sleep impossible, and if anyone in the next rooms opened a door or their wall safe it woke you. The photos online are not how the pool area looks so very deceptive, the area around the pools are very slippery and adults and children were constantly slipping over. There is also no shaded area outside to sit, and no pub as advertised on some sites, just the buffet bar. I wouldn't pay £4000 to stay in this hotel again but the staff were amazing, friendly, patient and very hard working.

Just arrived back from our 2 week holiday and stayed at the marina delfin verde hotel. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children age 10 and 13). We went fully inclusive and booked through lowcostholidays. For a 3 star hotel, it was a very good price for a place to stay and eat - the room was nicely air conditioned (You need this in that sort of weather being very warm outside) and you can control it, the beds were comfortable (We have stayed in other places where the beds were not comfortable and we all missed our own beds back home but not the case here), the staff (From the receptionists to the restaurant staff to the bar staff and the entertainment staff) were all brilliant and worked very hard to make our stay a very enjoyable one. The day snack and drinks at the pool bar was very good. The food in the restaurant was very good (although they repeated a few meals towards the end of our stay but it was still very good as you always had food choices). Although we ventured out to the market (About a 20 minute walk) twice during our stay, went to the beach twice (About 10 minute walk), we did not need to leave the hotel as everything was provided at the hotel (There were day activities for the children and adults which we also joined in and Martin and Steve were great hosts). The evening entertainment was also good and there are places close by that we could have also gone to. Altogether a good location, good hotel, good food, great staff and the whole family agreed that we should go back there next year.

We came back from staying at the Delfin Verde Yesterday (19th Aug) after a two week holiday there. Amazing, Brilliant, fantastic,wonderful...... what more can I say? It was the first time we have taken our two girls ( 7 + 5 years) abroad and we wanted it to be a memorable enjoyable holiday and it certainly was! The hotel staff were all amazing and so friendly, Food was plentyful, tasty and 5*,Rooms and surrounding areas where cleaned and well maintained, Pool was great for kids and adults alike, entertainment team worked 24/7 to ensure everyone didnt get bored. I can honestly say I was the best holiday me and my husband have ever had, and I would fully recomend it to anyone with a family, My girls sobbed their little hearts out when they had to leave as they had enjoyed it so much!

Excellent Holiday

Jul 2011, happyholidays

Just got back from a week at this hotel and was very impressed by every feature. Food was of a high quality with a wide variety of hot and cold, thought the timings of meals was good too with breakfast served up until 10am and evening dinner from 6.30pm. The kids really loved the entertainment team of which there was plenty of entertainment all day and up till late night. The hotel staff were very friendly, gave excellent service and worked extremely hard, nothing was too much bother to them. The hotel is clean and well maintained and we regularly saw maintenance staff repairing any defects, its also in a great location, almost right in the centre of the resort, although Alcudia is a large resort and its only a short walk to the beach and local shops, rooms were cleaned daily and of a decent standard, they also have airconditioning which is needed.
All in all, this was a good holiday, which our children absolutely enjoyed, agree with the other comments though about the sunbeds, when the we came down for breakfast, all the beds were taken and its kind of annoying to see so many beds, unoccupied with towels round them, and we cannot blame the Germans because the hotel is 99% British residents.

Sunbeds!!!!!!!

First impressions good, nice and clean. Friendly staff, day & night adult entertainment was average for this sort of holiday. Rooms seem to be of standard size, so whether it was two or four to a room it was still the same. We had four to a room and it was a bit cramped. We had a few issues with the room (light bulbs had blown & Air Con wasn't working) that were sorted on that same day. Food was plentiful but quality wasn't good, two of our party & other guests were ill at the time we were there. The major issue I have is that there were too few sun loungers for the size of the hotel (171 rooms, only around 65 sun beds!)and far too few parasols. This meant that if you weren't waiting at 08:30 for the patio doors to open for the mad dash to put a towel on a bed (or four!) your were out of luck until around 4 pm when people started to move out. This is ridiculous, other guests complained as well, but this is all they had. We decided that the beach was better but two loungers and a parasol there was 9 euro's. My recommedation would be to buy two inflatables & your own parasol all for around 20 euro's and use them instead.

Just back

Just back from the Marina Delfin Hotel .The hotel is some way from the main activities of Alcudia, we were told 100meters to the beach, I would say maybe if you are a crow! The hotel itself is fine, staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food tended to be a bit repetative and often cold, but there was always something you could eat. If you want to lounge around the pool on a sun bed, you better be prepared with your trainers and towels at 8.30am precisely as this is the time the towel dash takes place. By 8.45 there isnt a sunbed to be had! Although we were amused watching from our balcony at peoples antics we were not amused at being unable to find a lounger for the rest of the day, even though many beds were reserved and unused till later on after lunch!
