Grubby, outdated, tatty - agree with the others!
from Shakira78
No reception as you go in, you have to go up an old cranky lift that you almost risk your life getting in to. It smells, and is that slow that you think you're stuck. Level 3 was the reception where we encountered the male receptionist in an argument with a man who warned us not to stay there or if we did to be very careful what we leave in the rooms and not to give our card details... how reassuring! The room itself was how everyone has described... grubby is the one word that would sum it up. Outdated, dirty bathroom, old...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!
from moomin62
Stayed here for one night ............... one night too much. Checked in via reception and walked to our room. Eventually found it after walking through what seemed like a maze of dirty carpets. Stayed in room 718 - room was dark & dingy, bedside lamp did not work, when u put the "big light" on room far too bright. Bedroom net curtains dirty and window hardly opened. Bed ok, not that comfy really. TV would not pick up channel receptions so screen all fuzzy. Bathroom was actually ok other than bathroom door would not shut.<br...

A bit Grubby but what do you expect for the price!
from WearyMummy39
The purpose of my trip was to meet up with a friend from across the country at a central location. We booked through 1800Hotels.com and a double room came to the heady price of £45.00. The hotel is very central, a 2 minute walk from the station and less than 5 mins really from Leeds central nightlife. It is sandwiched between a couple of dodgy looking pubs, right on a main road and opposite an all night off-licence, Chippy and Kebab shop. Salubrious it ain'! As previous reports have stated the reception is on the 3rd floor...

totally dodgy
from angelcakes
paid for a double room through lastminute.com (Im fast going off this website) and i have never wasted money like it. Yes, it was only £50 but I wouldve been much better at a travel lodge. The hotels location and the friendly receptionist are the only thing its got going for it. My heart plunged as soon as I saw the entrance which is going through some dodgy basement and getting in a ramshackle lift. Bad enough during the day but, try getting into in on your own after a night out. Did not feel safe at all and didnt even feel safe...

pleasantly surprised
from wanttogetawaymore
After reading the reviews we were prepared for the worst and at £55 for a double room we weren't expecting the best. Overall we were pleasantly surprised. It definitely wasn't luxury but for the price and location we thought it was very good and we didn't experience any of the 'filthiness' or noise mentioned in other reviews. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. She changed the double room we'd booked to a twin room when we asked. Also we were allowed to leave our bags at the hotel, free of charge, until the evening of the day we...

Horrific - avoid at all costs
from thisrain
We were in a bit of a rush to find somewhere, but didn't expect anything like this. Ok - it was only £40 for our night, but had we known this would include cold shivers roughly every four minutes, we might have thought twice. As stated in other posts, access is via a lift that could best be described as a health and safety issue. On arriving on floor 3, we were greeted by a warm and friendly receptionist, but in hindsight, you realise this may well have been sympathy for our poor choice plight. Anything to soften the blow. So once...

Simply disgusting- don't go
from Ribieroise
This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever been to in my life. I am not exaggerating. Despite the courteous character of the receptionists, the central location, and how cheap it is, there is nothing that can make up for the disgusting state of the hotel in general. The room was filthy, walls have not been washed in centuries, and included disgusting splashes of weird things (let your imagination run wild). It was almost impossible to see out the windows, they were so filthy and covered in everything from dust to pigeon...

Seen Better
from abattoir
The hotel is located right opposite the train station, and a short stroll into the city centre. Reception is on the 3rd floor, and can only be accessed, when booking in, by a lift which is painfully slow. Im not a fan of lifts, and was not too pleased at having to use one. The staff were helpful and friendly. They gave me a free map when I asked for directions. Our room (336), was fairly small but had all the basics i.e. trouser press, hairdryer, wardrobe, dressing table, tv (poor reception), kettle with tea/coffee/sugar/milk...

Not all that bad
from indigotima
A bit trepidatious due to other reviews on this site, but the hotel was fine: clean, quiet enough, quite comfortable bed, and seriously the best location for getting around, just up a flight of stairs and you're at the train station. The staff were nice, you got tea and biscuits in your room, and it was the only place I found in the City Center for two people, en-suite, under a hundred quid.
Filthy hotel
from frostyireland
I have just come back form this hotel and unless you are desperate and do not require any sleep or nice surroundings do not even consider going here. This hotel recently changed name from the Comfort Inn and believe me it is anything but. Arriving the first night at 1.30 after a 3 hour flight delay I was looking forward to a good night sleep. I opened the door to my room and was horrified by the state of the room, the floor was filthy covered with stains and the room just looked run-down. At this late hour I just wanted to sleep and do...
