We stayed here for a two week holiday. My husband, me, my daughter aged 8, son aged 4 and daughter 1.
Rooms were very basic with double bedroom, pull out sofa bed and a cot. We had a kitchenette with dining table. Although not used as we stayed half board. Food was of a buffet style with hot and cold dishes for breakfast and evening meal. Our room was on ground floor with a patio leading directly onto the pool area which was lovely. There are in fact 3 pool areas.
Bar open from morning to night also serving food all day long. Beach was about a five minute walk away and was also lovely. Main town was nice for restaurants and shops etc. We hired a car to go look at the volcanoes etc that was nice, and we also visited the marina to see the luxurious yachts. Dreaming again!!
All in all a great holiday, we would certainly go back some time in the future.

My boyfriend and I went to Lanzarote on our first holiday together. We found the apartments very nice and clean. The only problem was we found three cockroaches in our apartment. This was the only problem that we had with our holiday over the two weeks that we were there.
The weather was beautiful and the pool was lovely. The beach was only a five-minute walk away and was surrounded by a few bars and restaurants. We were just a five-minute taxi drive away from the busy Puerto del Carmen, where we spent most of our nights. The taxi was only 3/4 euros. We found that the drinks in some bars were quite expensive, but the nightlife overall was good. As for eating out, the food was lovely, we did not have one bad meal and it was really cheap too. Try Chinese or 'Lanis'. The 'Texas Rancho Park' was a five-minute drive away and was a really good day out; entry was around 7 euros for an adult. Also try the Teguise market which buses run to and from on a Sunday. Overall it was a really good holiday and we would go back again.

I recently stayed in Don Paco Castilla and was really let down. I had heard a few people saying they were ok apartments but I found this to not be the case. There were 5 cockroaches in my apartment in a week and one morning I woke to find the floor covered in ants. Some friends were staying in the next apartment and had to be moved on the first night there because the bathroom ceiling caved in. There were no working street lights leading up to it and we had to walk past a derelict building and wasteland to get there, the facilities were dreadful and overall the complex could use a lot of updating. Also the staff were some of the rudest people I have ever met. It didn’t put me off returning to Lanzarote however, as I stayed in other apartments called La Morana a couple of years ago which were right in the middle of the main resort and were perfect. I will be staying in those next time I go and would advise anybody going to Lanzarote to keep clear of Don Paco Castilla.
