" Pool Safety "

Having just returned from two weeks at the Naias, I feel it important to warn future visitors to be aware that the pool scene at the hotel can sometimes be rowdy and in my opinion dangerous. The split level pool means that teenagers and adults jump from the top level to the bottom pool from a stone wall. The rooms were kept clean by the dedicated cleaners. The resort itself is very commercial with slot machines etc. The food in the tavernas was on the whole average. The boat trip from the beach hut adjacent to the hotel was great value for money. The pool bar was expensive and you only felt welcome if you were one of the drinkers happy to sit at the bar or as in some cases in the pool itself with bottle in hand. The hotel needs to decide if it is a family hotel or one that caters for brit drinkers.

Advice: No

Activities: Boat trip to turtle island and secluded beach. The pool at the Hanioti palace.

Good for: Beach

hanioti is a wonderful place.we have been going there now for 10 years and we are very friendly with tolis and becky from the mini golf.the square is ace although we prefer the original one.restaurants are ace the kassandra restaurant is tops, and spiros.we are going 21st july for two weeks, cant wait.the mini golf is a great night out the play music.billys bar is lovely and relaxing you can play pool there and go on the internet.the resort pefkohouri next door is good to visit you can get buses or hire a car .kalithea is a nice resort and has a market once a week.if you want to be more adventurous you can drive over to sithonia the other peninsula which is very mountainous.nea marmaris is a quaint village a bit like the lake district with sun.hanioti is the best though, brill hotels and apartments we have stayed nearly at all of them.

" What can I say? Just got back from a... "

What can I say? Just got back from a fantastic weeks holiday at the Naias Apartments! We wish we were still there!

Went with my best mate for a weeks relaxation and just had a fantastic time. The apartments are excellent, very clean and cleaned regularly. Bar is fab! Staff Leo, Veron and Elis are so friendly, they really make you feel welcome and make your holiday.

Beach is great although shingle, and this does get very, very HOT!! Weather was FANTASTIC, and Hanioti itself has so many restaurants to eat in and bars to chill out in. No pressure at all to eat or drink anywhere, just chilled out and relaxing!

I would totally recommend this hotel and the resort if you are looking for a relaxing week away, no fuss or pressure. FANTASTIC! When can I go back?

" We stayed in the new part of the... "

We stayed in the new part of the Naias Apartments and could not find fault with anything. Facilities, cleanliness, friendliness of staff were all 100%. Leaving the new apartments just across the road is the other half of the apartments, walk by Reception, past the swimming pool and pool side bar and you are on the beach. Four minutes up the road is the Square in the centre of Hanioti. An excellent location for a lazy holiday in the sun.

" Lovely hotel and staff, clean and... "

Lovely hotel and staff, clean and spacious one bed apartment.

Very close to town square, the only minus for this holiday was the beach, expected sand and shingle, but it was just shingle, very uncomfortable to walk on, had to pay for sunbeds as you could not lie on shingle, the beach further down towards the square was a little better, but was very crowded.

Also did not expect all the Greeks from Thessalonica to take over from Friday afternoon till Sunday afternoon, even took over the hotel pool, and deckchairs, did not know beforehand that a lot of the Greeks have weekend homes in Hanioti, after first weekend learnt to go out to eat a little earlier than in the week.

But all in all was an enjoyable holiday, kids had a great time round the pool, only tried snacks from the pool bar not main meals, but they were very nice, not much difference in the cost to the bars and restaurants in the square.

" We stayed at the Niasas beach hotel... "

We stayed at the Niasas beach hotel for the last week of June. I was very impressed with the apartment, it was very clean/spacious and modern and was serviced by the cleaners every day.

The complex itself was in an excellent location, right on the beachfront. The only thing I wasn’t over impressed with was the Pool area. It was a bit too small for my liking which meant we spent most of the holiday on the beach as the pool seemed to be more for the younger guests.

The beach itself in Hanioti was beautiful, it was very family friendly and clean and you pay just 5 Euros for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. The resort itself was a busy and friendly one, with so many gorgeous restaurants and bars but it had a more "upmarket" feel to it than some of the other resorts I have visited in Greece.

Overall We had a brilliant holiday and would 100 % return to Hanioti and stay at the Niasas apartments.

" My husband and I stayed here as... "

My husband and I stayed here as newlyweds for our honeymoon, from stepping off the plane we were blessed with superb sunny weather all week which was fab.

The coach journey was fine and having never been to Greece before the scenery was beautiful - very green! On arrival at the hotel we were immediately congratulated on our marriage which was lovely to be welcomed this way, I think by Maria who was very friendly (I had emailed First Choice on booking that we were here for our honeymoon).

Our room was spacious we had booked a one bedroom apartment which on booking was cheaper than a studio (I’m not complaining), a bottle of wine and a vase of flowers were there also in our room which again was a lovely touch for us newlyweds!

The room also had a large bathroom including Jacuzzi bath and shower although not sure all rooms come with a bath. Our balcony was at the side of the hotel which was peaceful and still had a sea view.

The cleaning staff were excellent and cleaned our room every day except Sunday, it is true about the piling up of your belongings so if you don't want your stuff putting somewhere you might not want it make sure you put your bits away in drawers/cupboards etc - I learnt to be more tidy!

All of the staff we had the pleasure of meeting were very friendly obviously we got to know the bar staff quite well as you do, Veron and Leo made us feel v. welcome. Food was good even though we only ate a couple of light lunches and the bar terrace on the beach front was so relaxing.

The hotel was fairly quiet as expected 2nd week of season but not too quiet -just right for us.

Hanioti is a beautiful village in my opinion as our first visit to Greece with an abundance of nice, clean bars and traditional restaurants with lots of back roads to explore. it is literally a 5 min walk which can be reached either via a walk along the beach or the quiet road, we ate out most nights sampling the Greek cuisine which we couldn't fault, all reasonably priced and all staff friendly and warm.

We chose to go on the Mount Athos excursion as the advertised Sunset Cruise was not running yet, it was a long day with a 7am coach pick up and quite a coach ride to the actual port.

The boat was lovely and comfortable and we sailed past the monk’s residence and up to Mount Athos stopping on the way back at a little village where we had an hour free to buy some lunch or look around before we headed back.

If you want a peaceful boat trip fine however I think we were the youngest on the trip (25 & 28) and found it a little boring and long.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be making a return visit, it was perfect for us.

Several people we met had been contacted by their tour operator prior to travelling regarding the building noise near by the hotel and would they like to move? I can say they were all pleased that they made the decision to stay, as like us, they didn't experience any noise at that time.

Yes there is low-rise development going on over the road from the hotel but we really didn't notice this.

I'm glad in a way First Choice weren't one of the informers of this otherwise we may well have chosen to move beforehand, and would have wondered what the fuss was about.

" Perfectly situated on the beach,... "

Perfectly situated on the beach, apartments were clean and nicely furnished. Maid service was 6 days a week, they were thorough but piled all our belongings up, i.e. toothpaste/brushes etc all on top of clean clothes. Arrrrrgggggh! (Teach us to be tidier I guess!)

Pool bar was great, Leo and Alex (the barman) make it, they’re so friendly and always smiling! Only downside for us was having to pay for the sun beds even though we were staying in the hotel! And paying for the air con.

But it's beautiful. Sitting on the bar deck, having a drink, sun's just going down and dolphins are swimming past. HEAVEN!

" These apartments were fantastic,... "

These apartments were fantastic, spacious, in good condition and the cleaners came EVERY day except Sunday! Great! The layout is perfect, first you have the pool, then the pool bar and then the beach all within 100m of your balcony!

By the way Alex and Leo who run the pool bar were superb, you felt you knew them all your life and that's a good thing!

The night life at the square (which is very close) is great too, something for everyone!

We will definitely be returning!

" This was one of my favourite... "

This was one of my favourite holidays. Hanioti is a beautiful place, the town has loads of bars and shops and is quiet enough for you to really enjoy your holiday, but has enough going on that you can have a good time if that’s what you are looking for.

The apartments were huge, clean and well equipped. My only downside was that you have to pay for the air-conditioning, but as the apartments are in quite a peaceful spot, I just opened the balcony doors and was able to sleep! The apartments are right on the beach, which is lovely and clean, but the pool at the apartments is so nice, we didn't leave it much. The addition of a poolside bar helped!!!

The apartments are about 200m to the local shops and bars which is nice, but you can walk further into the town where it does get busier.

The apartments have a weekly barbeque night which is great fun. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves. In all, this was a fantastic holiday, the apartments were just what we were looking for and in a great location.
