We stayed at the Niasas beach hotel...

We stayed at the Niasas beach hotel for the last week of June. I was very impressed with the apartment, it was very clean/spacious and modern and was serviced by the cleaners every day.
The complex itself was in an excellent location, right on the beachfront. The only thing I wasn’t over impressed with was the Pool area. It was a bit too small for my liking which meant we spent most of the holiday on the beach as the pool seemed to be more for the younger guests.
The beach itself in Hanioti was beautiful, it was very family friendly and clean and you pay just 5 Euros for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. The resort itself was a busy and friendly one, with so many gorgeous restaurants and bars but it had a more "upmarket" feel to it than some of the other resorts I have visited in Greece.
Overall We had a brilliant holiday and would 100 % return to Hanioti and stay at the Niasas apartments.

My husband and I stayed here as...

My husband and I stayed here as newlyweds for our honeymoon, from stepping off the plane we were blessed with superb sunny weather all week which was fab.
The coach journey was fine and having never been to Greece before the scenery was beautiful - very green! On arrival at the hotel we were immediately congratulated on our marriage which was lovely to be welcomed this way, I think by Maria who was very friendly (I had emailed First Choice on booking that we were here for our honeymoon).
Our room was spacious we had booked a one bedroom apartment which on booking was cheaper than a studio (I’m not complaining), a bottle of wine and a vase of flowers were there also in our room which again was a lovely touch for us newlyweds!
The room also had a large bathroom including Jacuzzi bath and shower although not sure all rooms come with a bath. Our balcony was at the side of the hotel which was peaceful and still had a sea view.
The cleaning staff were excellent and cleaned our room every day except Sunday, it is true about the piling up of your belongings so if you don't want your stuff putting somewhere you might not want it make sure you put your bits away in drawers/cupboards etc - I learnt to be more tidy!
All of the staff we had the pleasure of meeting were very friendly obviously we got to know the bar staff quite well as you do, Veron and Leo made us feel v. welcome. Food was good even though we only ate a couple of light lunches and the bar terrace on the beach front was so relaxing.
The hotel was fairly quiet as expected 2nd week of season but not too quiet -just right for us.
Hanioti is a beautiful village in my opinion as our first visit to Greece with an abundance of nice, clean bars and traditional restaurants with lots of back roads to explore. it is literally a 5 min walk which can be reached either via a walk along the beach or the quiet road, we ate out most nights sampling the Greek cuisine which we couldn't fault, all reasonably priced and all staff friendly and warm.
We chose to go on the Mount Athos excursion as the advertised Sunset Cruise was not running yet, it was a long day with a 7am coach pick up and quite a coach ride to the actual port.
The boat was lovely and comfortable and we sailed past the monk’s residence and up to Mount Athos stopping on the way back at a little village where we had an hour free to buy some lunch or look around before we headed back.
If you want a peaceful boat trip fine however I think we were the youngest on the trip (25 & 28) and found it a little boring and long.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be making a return visit, it was perfect for us.
Several people we met had been contacted by their tour operator prior to travelling regarding the building noise near by the hotel and would they like to move? I can say they were all pleased that they made the decision to stay, as like us, they didn't experience any noise at that time.
Yes there is low-rise development going on over the road from the hotel but we really didn't notice this.
I'm glad in a way First Choice weren't one of the informers of this otherwise we may well have chosen to move beforehand, and would have wondered what the fuss was about.

Perfectly situated on the beach,...

May 2006, Mrs L Stephens

Perfectly situated on the beach, apartments were clean and nicely furnished. Maid service was 6 days a week, they were thorough but piled all our belongings up, i.e. toothpaste/brushes etc all on top of clean clothes. Arrrrrgggggh! (Teach us to be tidier I guess!)
Pool bar was great, Leo and Alex (the barman) make it, they’re so friendly and always smiling! Only downside for us was having to pay for the sun beds even though we were staying in the hotel! And paying for the air con.
But it's beautiful. Sitting on the bar deck, having a drink, sun's just going down and dolphins are swimming past. HEAVEN!

These apartments were fantastic,...

These apartments were fantastic, spacious, in good condition and the cleaners came EVERY day except Sunday! Great! The layout is perfect, first you have the pool, then the pool bar and then the beach all within 100m of your balcony!
By the way Alex and Leo who run the pool bar were superb, you felt you knew them all your life and that's a good thing!
The night life at the square (which is very close) is great too, something for everyone!
We will definitely be returning!

This was one of my favourite holidays. Hanioti is a beautiful place, the town has loads of bars and shops and is quiet enough for you to really enjoy your holiday, but has enough going on that you can have a good time if that’s what you are looking for.
The apartments were huge, clean and well equipped. My only downside was that you have to pay for the air-conditioning, but as the apartments are in quite a peaceful spot, I just opened the balcony doors and was able to sleep! The apartments are right on the beach, which is lovely and clean, but the pool at the apartments is so nice, we didn't leave it much. The addition of a poolside bar helped!!!
The apartments are about 200m to the local shops and bars which is nice, but you can walk further into the town where it does get busier.
The apartments have a weekly barbeque night which is great fun. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves. In all, this was a fantastic holiday, the apartments were just what we were looking for and in a great location.
