Arora International Hotel Gatwick

I stayed one night on May 22, 2005 as I needed to catch an early flight from Gatwick. The hotel has a shuttle service to and from the airport which is convenient. When I arrived at the Gatwick airport, I just called the hotel from the shuttle pickup area and the hotel bus picked us up within 10 minutes. You must sign up at the front desk when you want a ride back to the airport. The hotel is also around the block from the Crawley train station, so it's easy to go into London. We found this to be a very clean hotel.. definatly earns its 4 stars. We found the rooms to be spotless, good facilities and very pleasant staff. The bar area is very comfortable and relaxing. I am giving this a 4 star review because of the parking. The parking was poor when arriving mid evening and we ended up parking on the entrance road. This may be because of the building work going on. Advise getting to the hotel early. Also if leaving early in the morning to ensure no one has blocked you in your space as some guests decide... more

Great hotel for Gatwick departures or arrivials. The rooms are small but very clean. Staff was helpful. The location is tricky so if you are driving in first time plan and know your route. We stayed here the night before our departure from Gatwick on holiday. Was great. The room was lovely, the staff polite and friendly and the hotel also operates a shuttle to the airport, therefore we were able to leave our car at the hotel for the duration of our holiday. Would stay here again if I had another early flight from Gatwick!

Perfect place to stay before a flight out of Gatwick. Clean, friendly staff, and QUIET! Pretty good restaurant and good lobby store (with excellent homemade hoummus)

Stayed here with 15 days parking included at the Summer Special car park at Gatwick. Hotel is great - in Crawley itself, and looks pretty new.....a big modern glass and steel structure. It's location is no issue, and was only a 10 minute drive to the airport. Parking was tight at the hotel but the porter created a space for us. Check in was simple (the hotel was very quiet when we arrived) and there are 3 lifts, 2 of them glass. We stayed overnight at this wonderful hotel on May 5, 2005 for a Northwest Airlines connection flight to Detroit. It is located in a small town called Crawley which is 15 min from Gatwick North terminal. The checkin staff were professional, courteous, and accomodating. They gave us directions and recommendations and made us feel welcome. We experienced a 5star guest service from the reception. Initial impressions of the Arora International Gatwick were very good. A modern, atrium hotel with scenic lifts (elevators), a good level of finish and a comfortable, clean room with a desk. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained and the towels, shampoos and soaps were rather posh. There was a towelling robe on the bed and it later turned out that I was in a VIP room. This 4# hotel is a short distance from Gatwick Airport, but part of the town of Crawley which means you are not just sitting within an airport. Local facilities/services are fairly close by which is useful if you stay over for a couple of nights. Its therefore popular with aircrew on layovers. We overnighted here (on a Saturday) in February and used the hotel shuttle bus to get to the hotel from the airport. I spent one night in January, 2005, to make a Gatwick connection the next day. Facility is new, moden, maintained, clean. Ditto for my room. Staff is friendly and helpful; they're proud to work at the best hotel in the area. Lots of airline crew on site during my stay. A couple caveats: I had to phone from Gatwick for a shuttle pick-up -- apparently there's no published schedule, so keep a coin in your pocket in case you need to call from an airport payphone.
