The hotel was lovely and like others I think it should be a 4 star. very clean with friendly staff.... large pool and luxurious communal areas. Food was good and fairly standard for Costa Brava-spain. Nice choices though and lots of them. Highly recommend if coming to Costa Brava!

The hotel was lovely and like others I think it should be a 4 star. very clean with friendly staff.... large pool and luxurious communal areas. Food was good and fairly standard for Costa Brava-spain. Nice choices though and lots of them. Highly recommend if coming to Costa Brava!

My family have just returned from a cruise and stay holiday with ferris at the florida park and I have to say that I would recommend this hotel to anyone. To get away from this dismal British summer is one thing, but to stay in such a well appointed hotel is another. You get the feeling that the hotel is a cut above the average, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, the amenities are excellent and the food was absolutely the best I have had in Spain. I know that once you've had a buffet meal in a spanish hotel you expect more or less the same wherever you go, but this was outstanding, well presented, hot and with plenty of variety. The pool area is just great with plenty of lawns and shade, with a unhurried relaxed atmosphere. There was a kids club every day at the pool and local entertainment outside the bar area at night, again if you're expecting a full on package style entertainment programme, you might have to look elswhere, this was just enough, understated relaxed and fun. I dont usually plan on going to the same hotel twice, but we are booking again for next year, it was that good. It really deserves four stars, and as someone else wrote it is an absolute gem.

me and my family stayed in the hotel florida park and we found it was spotless clean and the food was very good the staff was very polite and treated us with respect all through our stay.there is a large pool which is also very clean this hotel should be at least 4 star rated we also loved santa susanna with its golden sandy beaches and there is lots to do in fact we loved it so much we haved booked to go again this year

- the dining area is a bit cramped, cues form at the entrance (but cues seem to be a Spanish tradition)
- compared to some Greek 3* hotels, the cuisine is less variate; they have wine and 1 type of beer.
Notes:
Santa Susanna beach is man made ... the shore is steep, 2-3 meters into the sea and the water is over your head.
The beach itself is made from rocks that were gridded (sandy-dusty-pebbly).
No showers or toilets.

this hotel is the best one i have stayed in in this part os spain the hotel is very clean modern and well euipped. The staff are polite and make you feel welcome. The food is probably the best i have had in a hoyel in spain. Definately recommend this hotel to famalies and adults.

May,2008. I'm puzzled why the Florida Park only has a 3 star rating. It looks good outside and inside, has a large outdoor pool and jaccuzi plus an indoor pool with another jaccuzi. It is spotlessly clean, well maintained, the staff are brilliant. The rooms are no larger than most but are well designed and we never felt cramped. They are well tiled with nice fixtures. There were no faults with the plumbing, electrical and curtain fittings and no dangerous electrical wiring poking out like you find in most hotels.
One thing that deserves a special mention is the food.
It was excellent with plenty of choice, innovative touches and very tasty. It was warm/hot too, which I think is quite a feat with buffet meals. My compliments to the chef(s).
There is local entertainment and dancing at night.
I've been holidaying abroad for thirty years. I've stayed in excellent hotels and some that were dumps, and I can honestly say I've not stayed in one better than this. It should be given a 4 star at least. Last year, I stayed in a 4 star a few hundred yards down the road and it wasn't a patch on the Florida Park. I hope the management keep up the standards.
The beaches were lovely and not coated with rows of sunbeds, and you can catch the train to Calella, Lorette or Barcelona.

Although Santa Susanna was disappointing - not much to do if you're not Dutch, and rubbish if you're under 50 - the hotel was the saving grace of the holiday.
I agree that the bar staff weren’t particularly friendly but considering there were 3 of them to serve a hotel full of people all day I could understand their grumpiness! Overall though, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the entertainment was great.
The restaurant and the food were amazing and we looked forward to dinner every night.
The room was nice, not huge but always clean and the bathroom was the best I’ve had in a holiday hotel.
The pool was big and well maintained and there were loads of sunloungers and rows and rows of tables and chairs.
The best thing about the hotel was how well maintained it was - it was spotless and there was never anything out of place, in the evening with the fountain and the lights outside it was really impressive - at least 4 star standard.
I wouldn't go back to Santa Susanna, the resort isn't lively enough and bit small. But the Florida Park hotel was great and I would definitely stay in another hotel owned by the company.

A lovely clean and well maintained hotel in a great position for both Santa Susanna and Malgrat and only a three minute walk to a lovely beach.
Our room was not that big but we had the biggest balcony in the hotel and we overlooked the mountains. It was modern and clean with air conditioning.
The restaurant was well run and served a wide choice of good quality food, the themed spanish dinner was excellent. The pool area was clean and inviting with grassy areas to relax on but there was a shortage of sunbeds.
After seeing all the other hotels in the area I would certainly recommend this gem of a hotel.

Very Good Hotel, we had chosen the Sirius Hotel, but at late notice the Tour Operator informed us it was overbooked. We chose the Florida Park as second choice. This did cost us £77 more for the week, which I have raised a complaint about, but the Florida Park was certainly a good second choice. A notice in the hotel rates it as 3 star plus, I would certainly rate it as 4 star, and if it was not for having to pay the £77 extra, for someone else's incompetence the holiday would have been perfect.

The hotel itself was lovely and clean. The bedrooms were clean and the choice of food was good. The Bar Manager was very rude. The bar did not cater for anyone who did not drink lager.
This was the only tap beer on sale. Considering the hotel was 99% full of over 60 year olds they should have catered for these. How could they expect the older generation of people to drink lager. Not every holiday maker is a lager lout!!!!!!!!
I would go back to the resort but not the hotel if they did not change the supplies on sale at the bar.

An excellent quality 3 star hotel, we thought we were in a 4 star. Very clean with friendly staff who gave everyone excellent service and a brilliant Christmas. Very handy for visiting Barcelona, the train station is just 5 mins walk away and the service is quick and cheap. The beach is just across the road, and the next area for holidaymakers is about 10 mins walk if you want a change of scene.

i do have a few complaints however. the inside pool and jaccuzi were not working /open for the whole ten days of me and my family's holiday and the lunch and dinner queues were really bad.
