My holiday in this hotel-Caprici was great.Caprici has the best location in santa susanna. It is directly on the beach and the view from our balcony was so beautiful. The staff on reception was very friendly i like it...
only the one think i disliked in this hotel was the restaurant,in fact the food.breakfast was O.K. but the dinner no...there was only fish fish and fish...and pasta too.
So the santa susanna is very nice place...nearby the hotel is a promenade with o lot of shops where you can buy a souvenirs, food jewellery etc...
All in all this holiday was the best and yes i would comeback to this hotel.

Hotel Caprici, Santa Susanna We...

Hotel Caprici, Santa Susanna
We stayed at the hotel in two weeks and got a clear picture of the hotel and the area, which maybe is useful for other visitors.
The hotel is a 3 star hotel, but I just can give one star for their food and service at the restaurant. Especially breakfast was a disaster. So if you want a food adventure, don’t go to Hotel Caprici and actually don’t go to Spain. After I have travelled to Spain several times, I have stopped complaining about German food. The staff at restaurant were always in rush and dropped and braked things. It is actually wrong to call it for a restaurant. It is a Café terria. The staffs at the reception were very helpful and professional.
In my opinion the hotels location, right beside the beach, gets 5 stars, because you can directly go to the beach from the hotels pool and bar. It was very practical regarding our children, who couldn’t stay at the beach for longer time. The hotel is also right beside the train station if you want to go to Barcelona; even our trip to Barcelona was quite disappointing. The city was not charming at all as we expected. How ever, you can sail from right beside the hotel along Costa Brava to Tossa de Mar. It costs about 21 euro and it was worth it. We visited Blanes too. They are small towns, but much better than Barcelona. Santa Cristina is also on the way and has the most beautiful beach. The hotel is located in the end of Santa susanna, away from other hotels, which I prefer. But you can go every evening through a kind of bazaar to Santa Susanna Centrum with a lot of soviniours shops. We went for a walk every evening and it was very nice.
A big part of tourists was polish and Russian, but don’t get negative, because their behaviour actually was much more civilized than many other tourists from western countries.

Aug 2008, Ms H C Williams

we stayed here last August, the hotel and the food (breakfast and evening meal) was reasonable. But the food police on the door were incredibly off putting and the guest was also made to feel pressurised to eat up and get out asap. there was little or no entertainment the second week and the snack bar was closed then for the season. One week would have been more than enough.

Hotel was clean, airy, bright. All staff were friendly if you were friendly to them. Restaurant staff worked very hard, were efficient and also friendly. Food was satisfactory, a little weird for my taste but always found enough to eat.
The location is superb, right on the beach and the pool area is sheltered and tidy. Hotel has games room for kids. Entertainment is fairly basic but I was not there for that. Location in quiet Santa Susanna suited me well and train station is less than 100 yards away.
All in all a great holiday

My friends & I recently went to the Caprici hotel, in Santa Susanna, this hotel was out of this world, our rooms were very airy and clean, and we had view to die for.
The pool was great, and being able to walk straight onto the beach from the back of the hotel put the icing on the cake.
The food was excellent, catering for everybody, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our advice is to go there and try it for yourselves.

Jul 2007, Miss I Beeil

It's my third visit to this hotel and still it's a pleasant journey. I just love Spain and this hotel is the right place to enjoy quiet Spanish life, besides I have friends from Italy who also come to this hotel every year.
Just a few remarks: this is a three star hotel and you should not expect much comfort or entertaining or multifarious food. The location is the biggest advantage of Caprici - the sea is just infront and the train station over the road makes the trip to Barcelona most lucrative. The food is really boring and German-like, but it's no problem to eat out.
In summer the entertainment is much better, so I advise to travel in Summer. If you want to have a quiet holiday - it's just what you need. If you want to have fun - go to Loret-de-Mar (miles north from Santa-Susanna) - there are lot's of discos on the beach.

Jun 2007, Mr Db Bain

It would have been the worst holiday if I hadn’t met three lads the food was disgraceful and the hotel was loud and full of football teams from France, Italy and Germany.
The beach was very nice and very close. Shops were walking distance which was good. The bar staff and waiters was rude apart from the two ladies at night.
If you are English I wouldn’t consider going to this hotel.

May 2007, Miss K Dunne

I and my friend wanted a short getaway and this hotel looked like it was ideal... 4*'s, on the beach, in a quiet resort.
We got all this and more... it was clean, bright and airy and the rooms were ideal. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was just right for us, however it's is not ideal for those with walking difficulties or wheelchair users as there are subways to be used to get to the main shops and eateries. The subway directly outside the hotel is stairs only so would be a challenge.
The food at the hotel was not fantastic, for breakfast it offers the usual continental ranges of breads, cakes meats and cheeses. There are also cooked items available as well as cereals.
The evening meals I have to say were very boring and German orientated... soup, salad and hot dishes are available every night, however I stuck to soup, salad and ice cream every night.
We only went for 4 nights so our priority was to lay on the beach or by the pool and relax but it was great to see the activities available in the surrounding areas... Barcelona by train, waterparks, boat trips and many more...
I would suggest this resort would not be great for people wanting lively nights unless you were prepared to travel to nearby resorts.
Would I go back? Probably, but for exactly the same reason... To relax by the pool and not a lot more...

After reading very positive reviews...

Jan 2007, Mrs J Fleet

After reading very positive reviews on this hotel we were really looking forward to our holiday. Unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations.
This hotel is totally lacking in entertainment. There is music on Fri and Sat nights only, and absolutely no children's activities, maybe this is different in the summer, but worth checking first.
The indoor pool was colder than the outdoor pool, so everyone and their dog seemed to be crammed in the 10' x 6' spa pool outside!
The food was the worst I have ever had for a 4* Hotel. It was extremely repetitive and unless you arrived early was lukewarm. On the last day they ran out of tomato ketchup, and in its place tried to pass off cold tomato soup!
One positive is the train station is directly across from the hotel, very handy!

Jan 2006, Ms H Valley

This was a disappointing stay the Caprici. While I couldn't fault the room, the friendliness of the staff left a lot to be desired. The worst thing was the food. Breakfast and dinner were like cattle markets. Rude waiters, impossible to order a drink and poor food. After two dinners we gave up and ate out.
I wouldn't rate swimming in the sea as there were many unmentionable objects floating around. Quite disgusting. The resort is also uninspiring. One long stretch of fast foods joints.
Can't fault the location of the Hotel Caprici, right on the beach and at the end of the resort, so this meant it was a bit quieter, yet you were in the centre in 10 minutes.
Best day out was a trip to Barcelona, we also enjoyed trips on the coastal train (station right outside hotel).
Would I return to the Caprici or Santa Susanna again? No way!

May 2005, Mrs J Davidson

Fantastic accommodation, high standards of cleanliness, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, room light and airy, staff were polite and friendly, the food was of high standard and catered for all tastes.
I have been going to Santa Susana for a number of years, and have stayed in most of the hotels in the resort, the caprici verd puts them to shame, and after experiancing the high standards of this hotel, I would not stay anywhere else in Santa Susana, so much so that we are going back next year.
