whilst i have no complaints about the hotel itself which was lovely, it was a fair way out from dublin city centre so it was extmemely expensive travelling back and forth. a bus took 45 mins, a taxi 30 mins.
beware of hotel shuttle bus which charges 8 euros to tram station-2 words- rip off! catch the 69 bus from outside the hote which takes you direct into the cente for 2 euros

Just returned from Dublin having had a fantastic trip.
The Gren isles is a beautiful hotel, everything is lovely there, nothing to complain about.
I didn't realise it was going to be that far out from Dublin city centre so was quite worried at first.
However the hotel offers a shuttle bus for 2 euros per person which takes you straight to the LUAS tram line (5mins) then you jump on the tram which takes 20 mins which was excellent.
Or you can catch the 69 bus directly outside the hotel which takes around 40 mins to get into the centre.
Would definetly stay here again !
