71 rooms & silk suites
from LMC1985
I stayed recently at this hotel for 2 nights as it was in a good location for why I was in coventry and got a get deal on the internet site lastminute.com which you pay for on line. Glad it was not match days I was there. Had a get view of the football pitch but you can tell that the room was used as a VIP box when the football is on as the bed pulls out of the wall and there is a cupboard full of stackable chairs. Bathroom was clean but the toilet sounded like a fog horn well fushing it, plus window in the room did not open as was a patio...

Would stay again
from WatfordKipdog
My wife and i had to come to Cov for a party so we checked out what was available and we found the Ricoh Arena. It was just what we were looking for, we had a pitch view room as requested. we do dine out and were very impressed with the different menu, not the largest of choice's but price's very fair , quality very good, service very good, the waiter very good. Ok it was very quiet but they made us most welcome
Avoid at all costs

I booked a pitch room for my husbands 30th Birthday and thought it ideal as hes a massive Cov City Fan. The rooms are very basic but clean and its one saving grace was the great view of the pitch and stadium. We booked a table at the over priced bistro and we were served by a surly waitress who lacked any customer service skills. The food was very nice but if your going to pay £17 for a main meal surely a smile woudnt go amiss? After an enjoyable night in the casino we returned to our room expecting a good nights sleep. No chance!...

Staying at 71 Suites
from deljones
A football stadium in the midlands seems the unlikely place to have a hotel but Coventry City have done just that. Going by the odd name of "71 Suites and Silk Rooms". The 71 Suites is built onto the side of the stadium and is part of a larger complex comprising of a casino and numerous Business Centers and a restaurant with some exhibition and conference rooms that are sponsored by national as well as local companies such as the 'Jaguar Exhibition Room' and so on. The whole thing has only been up for a few years so it looks very clean and...

Great Hotel, Graet Casino, Great Victory!!!
from papapump444
Stayed at the Ricoh Arena this weekend after watching my local team Plymouth Argyle win 1-0 at Coventry. Went to the corresponding fixture with a friend last year and was really impressed with the whole place. Decided that this season would stay in the hotel itself for convenience. Went online and paid special weekend rates of £70 for a Service Appartment. When we arrived for the game we were informed we could park in the car park right outside the main enterance, it was literally the same car park as the players parked in. We were...

Very disappointing
from gladsid
As lifelong supporters of Coventry City we decided we should experience the Ricoh and all it had to offer, so booked tickets for an evening match and a room in the hotel for the night. We were led to believe through our booking company that rooms were available from 7.30pm on match days. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AS FAR AS EVENING MATCHES ARE CONCERNED. Check-in is from 11pm, which means there is over an hour to kill after the match. We sat in our car in the car-park, as going to the casino is not our thing! We tried to book in about 10.30pm, but...

Unique

We stayed one night at this hotel. The hotel is in the arena, Coventry FC to be precise. So when you look for the hotel look for the massive Ricoh Arena. You park in the paying car park with all the other football fans but you can have your ticket validated at reception so you do not pay the £8+ fee, or you can park in the casino car park (Reception explain this when you ask them). Entrance is the entrance to the stadium, don't expect any clues that there is a hotel inside (they must want to keep it a secret). Don't go looking for a hotel...

Good location for footie match or concert
from SteffSims
Having got my friend tickets to her beloved tea, I thought finding this hotel at the arena would be perfect and although a nice hotel we had a few problems. Turning up after the game to check in we discovered that they had no record of my booking even though I had received two confirmation emails. Luckily I had a print out and so they said they would get housekeeping to see if they had a room ready. After about 5 mins we were told we had been upgraded at no extra cost as a gesture of goodwill to one of their suites. Even...

Funky & Fun
from JSamps
I was invited to watch a football match at the new home of Coventry City Football Club, the Ricoh Arena. As this was a Tuesday night match, I asked my host for nearby hotel reccomendations and was informed that the stadium had a hotel and to contact them. I read the only other review on Tripadvisor for the hotel and it sounded okay, so I tried to book a 'Pitch View' room. After contacting the hotel I discovered that these rooms are not available for nights with evening kick offs, as they are used during the match, but that I could have a...

A rare treat!
from mikey123
What an unusual hotel! if you have never stayed in a hotel that is part of a football stadium, as I hadn't, you may be in for a real treat. Firstly, the double rooms face out on to the football pitch which makes for an interesting view, although I believe the bedrooms get turned into executive boxes for home games. Secondly, there are also a selection of 'serviced apartments, which are a healthy size and include a fridge, washing machine and microwave. The quality of the rooms is absolutely first rate, although they are let...
