Lovely hotel , rooms and service are easily equal to any 4 star. The breakfast is wonderful , they serve very good undyed poached haddock with perfectly cooked poached eggs which makes a nice change to the full English which is also excellent as everything is cooked to order and has not been hanging around under heat lamps.
The staff are very nice people and a lot of them have been there for many years. The rooms in the original part of the hotel have also been refurbished to the same standard as the new extension , we prefer the older part of the hotel with its rickety uneven floors and old pictures. The beds are good strong high quality and I have never had a bad nights sleep there.
Meridan is a quite little village but only 10 minutes from the NEC and Airport . There is a great pub just down the road called ( I think ) the Bulls Head, it serves really good pub food till 9.30pm again the staff are very nice.
This is a great advantage as the restaurant in the hotel is quite expensive - good quality stuff but not much of it . ( tip : providing there isn't a show/exhibition on at the NEC you can normally negotiate a good price of around £80/90 for a double which is on a par with the other hotel down the road directly opposite the pub - The Strawberry something which is not a patch on the Manor.

This Hotel is top class, foo wonderful, hygiene to the highest standard.
