Moor Hall Hotel & Spa

We spent a day at this hotel quite recently - I had booked a Spa Day for my partner and I after looking at their website, which appeared to be quite impressive. I can't comment on the accommodation though. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and found our way to the Spa (which was at the side of the hotel). We were greeted in a friendly fashion and handed our robes and slippers and shown into the breakfast room for some tea and toast. Things started well.... I stayed in this hotel for one night as I was working in the area. Its quite a remote location but great breakfast and very comfortable beds. The service was good and the staff were friendly. I would stay here again in the future.

Stayed overnight meeting friends. Excellent location and surroundings. Found all staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Our rooms were very spacious and although we could hear the noise from the wedding disco below it was very muted and didn't go on late. We had dinner in the Country Kitchen carvery, very good value, bit disappointed the veg was peas and sweetcorn, although the carrot and swede was fresh and nice and chunky. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and plentiful.

Stayed in this country house hotel on Dec. 23..one night...EVERYONE who worked for the Hotel was 1st class.. The dining room is fabulous, full of old English charm.. exceptional buffet breakfast..could not believe this was only a Best Western...would be 5 star in the USA.. they without a fuss upgraded us to a suite, simply for taking to long to book us in!! room 20 was great... lots of history, Ghosts and all...If you are staying the central England area give this a shot,, You will not be dissapointed...

I stayed at Moor Hall on 6th and 7th July and had a fantastic time. It was a last minute booking as we were supposed to be going to London for my birthday and couldnt due to the bombings. All the staff were friendly,cheerful and helpful. The carvery was good value £13.50 (I think!) for 4 courses,and the food was lovely. Breakfast was superb for a buffet as it was hot and all the food was fresh-no rubbery eggs! Mid week, two days of meetings in Sutton Coldfield - not something I had relished, but I was pleasantly suprised by the Moor Hall Hotel. Spacious room, although a little dark with two sofas in the lounge area of the room. Spotlessly clean bathroom. Good room service breakfast. Food in the Oak Room restaurant was top class, although they could have varied the menu from one night to the next, but there was plenty of choice (but not if you are a veggie). Having used this hotel previously, several years ago, I was very impressed by the way it has dveloped its accom and services so that it is now extremely professional yet small enough to be friendly. Meetings and conferences run like clockwork, organisers dont have to worry about a thing other than the impact of a very good lunch!
