The Birmingham Great Barr Hotel

My husband and i stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night ,i booked with e booker and paid £48 great value for money .The room was on the small size (but who stays in their room all day )the sheets and quilt were crisp white cotton .Breakfast was fab loads of choice .Just a few minits from the hotel is a carvery you must try it it is so cheap you wont believe what you get for the money .iIwould deffinately reccommend this hotel.

Got booked in at very short notice because another (full) hotel had lost a couple's booking (who were part of a party) and I let them have my room. Receptionist was friendly but a bit rushed when I arrived, trying to cope with 4 people at once. Decor of the hotel is a bit worn, although freshly pained. The purpose of our 2 night stay in July was to attend an Athletics Meeting at the Alexander Stadium. What a great choice location wise this hotel was. Approx 8 minutes drive, almost along one straight road to the stadium. We booked through Gtahotels on the web and paid £22.00 per person per night including breakfast. The booking service was very efficient. The hotel has a very large car park. Staff were friendly. The room was clean with crisp white bed linen. I stayed in this hotel with my husband and father last weekend. we were travelling to the West Midlands to attend a party and needed somewhere to kip on the Saturday night. It took us 6 and a half hours to travel up from London (partly due to the roadworks that are carrying on everywhere and the nightmare half term traffic) I was looking forward to getting to the hotel but the joy was short lived. The reception area looks pleasing enough, the receptionist wasn't the most helpful and we didn't really understand what she was talking about... more
