Horrendous
1 night stay in dirty lifeless hotel. Had the pleasure of checking into a room where the bed had just been slept in, the shower had just been used, the bin had not been emptied etc etc. Full of apologies and at least responsive enough to offer a free upgrade (to a room that had been cleaned!!) Breakfast no better. At least half of the single portion cereal packets were out of date. Won't be back.
three star.........third rate
I was booked by a very well known heating manufacturer for five days whilst attending a training course.the room i was given was next to the kitchen extractors...very noisy.i was assured they went off at night.....they didnt. when we went down for dinner we were offered very little choice but breakfast was very good. you will need a good pair of ear defenders at night because of the extremely noisy floorboards.......will i ever go back...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
A pleasure to stay in
Traditional Hotel offering good value for money. An ideal base from which to tour Warwickshire & the Midlands
Best For 2007
Excellent Hotel, very Helpful. Stayed in the middle of February, everything was good. Only down side was the size of the room, and Bed. I am 6"7, so my feet hung over the edge of the bed. And a little bit hemmed in. But everything else, etc location Staff, very Highly recomended.
Great beds and great staff
We stayed there last weekend and were pleasantly surprised. We had previously stayed in the Travel Lodge in Leamington Spa - great building outside but awful hotel. The Falstaff dos;nt look much from the outside but the rooms are good, the beds super comfortable and the shower top class. We had a superb meal in the dining room and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Yes it is being refurbed and some to be done but for the price it was excellent and we recommend it as good value with some nice touches.
difficult to find
Stayed here on business. Hotel difficult to find in the Leamington Spa maze. Car parking limited. Staff helpful. My room was a bit tired - in need of redecoration and refurbishment. Breakfast was civilsed and staff very attentive.
We had a great time!
Well I don't know where your other reviewers stayed but we thought the Best Western Falstaff was first class. I took some elderly relations for a Christmas break and was delighted with the first class rooms, great service from the staff, and wonderful food that just seemed to go on and on! They really pulled out all the stops to make sure we had a great time. The entertainment was pleasant and low key, and if there were any rowdy drunken revellers they weren't in the hotel this Christmas as most of the guests were seniors. Or at least... more
Below average
Initially I was given my colleagues key by mistake. It was the reception staffs fault but they tried to blame him for the mistake! Single room was very small and I was awoken at 1am and again at about 3am by a very noisy extractor fan outlet outside my window. Breakfast was OK but staff were a bit 'confused' at times.
Central location, good value but wouldnt stay again
Had a number of problems when I booked 3 rooms here for myself and my family, despite booking 3 months in advance the hotel could not position our rooms together and there was a Christmas party going on so my parents were kept awake until the early hours with booming music, I was in a different corridor and didnt hear the music but was kept awake by loud drunk people until about 4am. You would think the hotel would position the Christmas party guests above the party!! The hotel were apologetic and refunded the cost of one of the... more
Not as nice as it looks!
I stayed at this hotel as a party of 8 for 3 nights (whilst attending a training course outside the hotel). The rooms were the usual size for most large hotels (small) and it was mostly clean but it was the fittings of the hotel that seemed to cause the most complaints. On arrival and during their stay, others in my party had various problems with their rooms (no bath as requested, unmade rooms/beds, doors that wouldn't open, cold rooms, not enough hot water) and the reception staff had difficulty relocating guests as the computer sytem... more
