never ever again;;;;
this is the first time i ahve ever had cause to write a review we are afamily of 5 well travelled here and in usa etc this is far the worst hotel we have stayed in i agree with all the bad reviews i ahve red here. we had a lovely stay in soke alton towers etc we a great best western hotel there for 4 nights daddy then came up with a great idea to have a extra day and visit warwick castle rang beest western reservations and told of this great hotle near by as we were on route no time to read reviewes or check internet... oh how i wish we... more
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in
I stayed in this hotel as part of a 24 hour delegate rate. The room was definately not worth the £99!! Aside from the hidious decor, the small single bed, and dirty bed cover - the bathroom was a joke. It was a cupboard in the corner of the room. Stepping up into the cupboard you are met with a cramped toilet and a combined shower and sink. Interesting! Hot water was hard to find, mind you the shower hardly offered you the comfort of wanting to stay in it for more than 60 seconds so that didn't end up being such a... more
indian resturant great, hotel not so good
Stayed at this hotel whilst attending a conference at Stoneleigh Park. The carpark is a bit of a nightmare to get in if you arrive anytime after 4.30pm. The enterance hall was very cluttered, to get to my room I had to go along a passage that had pallets of drinks & provisions stored in it, very difficult to get a suitcase through. The room was disappointing, it was clean but really needed to be redecorated, I will say though that the information pack in the room was very comprehensive, and the room was well stocked with tea... more
Hell hole in Kenilworth
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There is a smell of sewage throughout the building. In our room the shower did not work, although the hook holding the shower head did drop off the wall and the attention seeking shower head fell on my head when I was in the bath. There was damp on the walls and plaster falling off the ceiling. The DVD player, potentialy a nice extra, did not work. None of this should have been a surprise to me because the premises used to be a restaurant called "Balti Towers". On a positive note, the staff... more
give it a miss
King room booked online with Best Western on arrival told no king rooms in hotel only king suite which was more expensive, after showing internet confirmation of room type transferred to king suite at no cost. But suite was dusty, mirrors filthy, no loo rolls and no pillowcases on spare pillows. Breakfast was a mess, no choice of fruit juice just orange and warm at that and served in half pint glasses form the bar, milk and yogurts sat on bar in restuarant no chiller anywhere and it was warm,if you went to breakfast late then everything... more
I liked it
Nice clean hotel, good size room, stayed here for one night on business. Was impressed by the food in the coconut lagoon, the service was a bit slow but you cant have everything. Great freshly cooked breakfast, I'll stay here again.
60th Wedding Anniversary Meal Disaster
Everything had been planned to perfection - unfortunately the hotel had other ideas. Sherry was served one glass at a time (to 21 guests!!). Lunch was over an hour late - if it can be called lunch. Soup rolls were too stale to eat. After a long delay the meat course arrived.. just meat that is .. the vegetables took half an hour longer and were cold of course. The sweet course was a farce with the trifle topping being so hard it was not possible to penetrate it or serve. The unhappy couple and their guests felt very humiliated and... more
Don't Miss the Indian Food!
Very comfortable hotel at reasonable price; ideal base for Stratford-on-Avon. The staff were courteous and helpful, while the room was more than adequate. The absolute plus was what the hotel claimed as the 'best Indian food in the south midlands'. Arriving after 9.00 on the first night, and visiting the RSC on our second We only had the chance to try the food via room service but it was superb - and very reasonable. Generally, little touches impressed: fresh table flowers daily, well-cooked 'full English' breakfast which did not leave you... more
Clean & Comfortable
We found the Peacock Hotel to be very clean & comfortable. The service and food both excellent. The staff were very polite and attentive. On the down side....avoid rooms over the kitchen. The deep freeze can be noisy!
Excellent staff at the hotel
Absolutely a fantastic place. The staff were incredible. Very friendly, attentive and at your service at any moment. The Indian food availabe is top notch as the family whom run the hotel are from there. I was very, very impressed and highly suggest this place. Just get one of the nicer rooms as the basic one is very small. Overall the staff made me feel very welcome and made the fact that I was a long way from home allot more enjoyable.
