My wife and I needed a base to explore, parts of Shropshire, Ironbridge, Cosford, Telford and Brignorth etc over a three day period. We found The Roman Way Hotel to be an excellent choice, ideal situation just minutes from the M6 and just drive west on the A5 and you are in the beautiful countryside of Shropshire.
The hotel reception was found to be very efficient and helpful, rooms were very clean and highly suitable for a three night stay, beds were very good, with tea and coffee making facility, phone and a decent TV/Radio. The room was cleaned efficiently daily towels were changed.
The food in both of the restaurants was of a good standard and value for money, the only down side we found that waiting times for evening meals was a little extended so be aware of this, you may have to wait longer than anticipated.

My husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel. We went for a well deserved rest. Unfortunately the hotel's fire alarm went off in the early hours disturbing our rest. This was not due to a fire or any smoke and we were informed by a staff member that it was due to an electrical fault that the hotel had known about since the previous week. We wrote to the manager inviting him to make ammends but had no response other than a letter to say he was on holiday and would deal with the matter on his return. Thus not only did we not have the rest we had planned but the customer service that followed fell well short of bsing acceptable.
