Myself, my husband and my 7 year old daughter have just spent a week at this fantastic hotel and would reccomend this hotel to anyone, we flew out to majorca with first choice airways who were very friendly and the food was actually rather good even my 7 year old daughter ate it and enjoyed it!! Having just come back from 10 Days at the Palace De Muro, i thought i would share with you some up-to-date feedback on the Hotel. Firstly, the staff are GREAT here. A really warm welcome from the reception staff, who were fuent in Spanish, German and English. Added to this, the restaurant staff were all fantastic. Very warm, accomodating and courteous. We have just returned from the Palace De Muro & found the Hotel First Class, the only slight disappointment was the evening buffet which was very good but not 5 star, there are however two other restaurants on site if your not on half board or wish to pay a little extra. The hotel is split into four three storey blocks & we stayed in a suite on one of the sea facing blocks which I think cost a little more but then you are away from the car park, road etc as mentioned in a previous review. We stayed here for 4 days over Easter 2006. I generally agree with other reviews, and simply want to add some additional comments. Lovely outdoor pool with decking, sunbeds and parasols. Large beach towels are provided by the hotel - a nice touch. The pool area backs directly onto the beach. There is also a decent indoor pool, jacuzzi, and a spa area with 2 saunas, power showers, and a small steam room (disappointingly, this was not a Turkish bath as advertised). Just returned from PALACE DE MURO today 04/10/2005, a very nice hotel , stayed in a twin room which had a kitchenette and dining room and two showers.The accomodation was of a very high standard, the hotel was marble throughout and always exceptionally clean. Palace de Muro - Great hotel! from willisgates
We went to Majorca for a 4 day weekend and stayed at the Palace de Muro. It is about 45 min from the airport in the northeast portion of the island. The hotel was great, truly a 5 star establishment. Breakfast was a feast with a high quality extensive offering. I'd skip the half board and just do the breakfast though as there are many great restaurants to explore. Be sure to go to Formentor and drive out to the lighthouse for breathtaking scenery. The beaches and the water are beautiful. All in all, a great break.

Booked a suite through Medhotels, half board for 2 adults and 2 children (8,4). Two room suite with kitchen(fridge, microwave, cutlery). Large bedroom with 2 large beds and television with sofa bed in lounge. Marble bathroom with bath and large separate shower. Double balcony. quality furniture and proper "fluffy" towels. Fantastic food - no queuing - choice at breakfast and dinner is unbelievable!! Took a short break here 9.10.04 - 13.10.04. Expectations were modest and this was our first trip to Mallorca but we got a lovely surprise at the Hotel de Muro. It is a large new hotel made in glass and granite and right on the shore just to the east of Alcudia. The rooms are all suites and are immaculately clean and very spacious. I have stayed in hotel rooms smaller than the lobby in our suite! Most suites have balconies but only the largest overlook the sea directly. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I know its hard to find a good hotel with very young children so we were very happy to find this one. Most of the rooms in the hotel are huge suites with separate bedroom and a living with a kitchenette. The childrenspool is right next to the playyard en the playyard is right next to the beach. The restaurant served great breakfast and dinner. You don't really have to go anywhere else if you like to relax and have everything at hand. Stayed here in March 2003. This is a wonderful hotel, with some of the most spacious rooms I have seen and bathrooms to match those of any 5 star establishment. The hotel itself is a bit out in the sticks, but fine if you have your own transport (10 minutes drive to Alcudia). Excellent facilities. Mostly patronised by German tour groups.
