Lindos Gardens Apartments

We've stayed in many Greek apartments over the years and there have been only a few that I would say deserve a mention, this is one of them .The rooms were always kept clean,clean towels and linen, lovely and quiet until the 'lads from London' arrived in the second week ,but even they calmed down.Very nice friendly people at the bar and the owners too.We go to the beach so don't use the pool but it all looked very well planned out and well kept.Super view of the Acropolis as well. We really noticed how friendly the Greek people were, much more than in other places and especially towards the end of the season. Yes, the safe and air con are now unfortunately always added extras but this was the same in Kefalonia last year..we even had to buy our own loo roll there... a step too far.

Really lovely being able to eat out in the rooftop places at night, the hill's a bit of a bugbear but that's what taxis are for aren't they! I found that Rhodes wasn't initially beautiful as the mountains are scrubby but driving around there are some lovely places and Lindos itself is good to stay in as it is traffic free and pretty.Don't go in the mornings too many coach parties!

well wot can i say????dont agree with the bad comments...stayed in many self catering apts all over greece different islands..these apts were the best by far.

ok wot do we expect in a self catering apts??? basic but very clean.. this was our honeymoon and was over the moon with it all...we stayed in apt 1fo which is situated at the top of apts..stunning views of lindos..3 pools all very clean,pool at top no children allowed which was great,nothing against kids have 3 myself. but when you wanna chill it was great....staff very friendly all good speaking english..greece is now very expensive because euro has ruined it so hotel wasnt really any dearer than eating in the centre..lindos itself was the same has when i visited 20yrs ago..still quiet very clean place..great taverns please give MARIAS, OR RED ROSE a go excellent meal every time also cheaper than other places...so on the whole excellent apts and holiday..would defo rec to all would say these apts are worthy of a 4 star rating...give it a shot you wont be disapointed.

We have just got back from the Lindos Gardens Apartments and let me warn you that they ARE NOT APARTMENTS by any stretch of the imagination NOR ARE THEY 3* RATING. I checked this review site before booking and they are the most misleading reviews ever.

The rooms are NOT apartments they are just bedrooms. The catering facilities are non existent, no toaster, no microwave. There is absolutely no furniture in the rooms except the beds, no dining table or chairs, no comfortable settee to lounge on. The only work surface in the so called kitchen area is about two square feet. A foul smell comes up through the drain in the bathroom floor which we had to cover with a towel. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever used, just a mattress on wooden planks. The sewerage system obviously cant cope, the access road leading to the bedroom blocks absolutely stank of sewage you just wouldn't wish to experience it. The aircon will set you back another 15euros per night and the cleaners make sure that any useful items left by the previous occupant, like washing-up liquid, tea towels, tea bags etc are all snaffled up and the room is left completely empty.

TAKE MY ADVICE AND GIVE THIS COMPLEX A MISS.

Just returned from a fab week in Lindos!

The Lindos Gardens is one of the best places Ive stayed in terms of friendliness, cleanliness and general ambience! The staff are really helpful and the views are amazing. Would recommend the top pool for those that dont want have children running round as the infinity pool is alot quieter and relaxed. ( key is no inflatables allowed!!)

Only downside about the hotel is the add ons when you get there - 69 euros for aircon, more for security box and for those with a night flight another 30 euros! Oh.. and the hills - you dont want to go there if youve got a gammy leg!!

Lindos itself is stunning and the roof top restaurants are great - would recommend the Mykos restaurant and Ceasers!! great service and great food! Avoid the cool looking Dyonisis ( cant remember the name correctly!) Cram people in and then forget you ( We walked out!!)

Also recommend the cocktails at the very designer london looking bar on one of the side streets!!! Comfy relaxing seats, good music and the Monkey Lunch is like alcholic banana milkshake

All in all a fab holiday and would go back tomorrow!!

Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Lindos where we went out for a friends wedding. We stayed self catering at Lindos Apartments and couldn't really ask for more from three star apartments. A few improvements and it wouldn't be far from a four star. The pools are great, our room looked over the infinity pool with great views and fairly quiet, although get a sunbed early as they do go quickly. Rooms are comfy enough although the cooking facilities and utensils provided would test Jamie Oliver to do a decent meal. Luckily we ate out every night. You do get conned a little when you get out there as air con is extra and works out at about £80 for the week plus late check out if you need it and the safe deposit mean you are paying an extra £150 on your holiday which you are not really prepared for. The air con is a must however. The complex is quite steep if you are at the top but you do get used to it. Drinks in the bar are expensive and in the days of Euros now match english prices. My advice is go for shots which don't get measured and were generally doubles even though you paid for a single.

Lindos itself is a cracking little village although best not to go there in the morning when all of the tours arrive and its full of tourists. The streets are very narrow, cramped, slippy and hot which all in all make for quite an unpleasant experience. Add the constant stream of tourist donkeys ferrying people up the Acropolis so its best to avoid it until after lunchtime. Best time to wander down is in the evening when it comes alive with all the roof top restaurants. We would recommend Mythos and Caesars. The hill is a bit of a swine to go home to so best off getting one of the frequent taxis for about 4 euros.

We probably wouldn't go with Olympic Holidays again. Our flights were changed a few weeks before hand to dreadful night flights meaning we were up 24 hours each end of the holiday and basically paid for 7 nights but only got 6 and so far have heard nothing about compensation. The Olympic Rep, Kelly, was next to useless. Really poor at the reps meetings on our first day. Did a pretty shoddy sales job, everything was 'absolutely fantastic' and 'this is so much my favourite trip'. Didn't see her all week and despite asking twice she made no attempt to resolve getting an elderly member of our party moved to a ground floor room. To top it all she informed us our return transfers would not be put on the notice board like usual holiday firms. Instead we got told that towards the end of the week we'd get a customer satisfaction survey posted under our door which we then had to hand to her to receive our return transfer time. We never saw a form or got anything under our door, so if we hadn't taken the initiative we wouldn't have know what time the coach would pick us up. A pretty dreadful rep service really.

However don't let that put you off. You will have a wonderful holiday at Lindos Gardens

Just came from a weeks stay, we are all missing it lots already.Will definately be returning. The rooms are lovely the maids do a lovely job, thebeds are comfy and the views are perfect. My 2 children lobed the pools and the mini golf and we all loved the food both at the hotel bar and in the town itself, the oasis and medeast restaurants are well worth a visit. Do not be put off by the hills they are really not that bad and if you want a a taxi back up the hill then a taxi only costs 5 euro. Overall it was perfect. The only problem we had was not getting a flight we wanted with first choice night flying is not good with 2 small children,next time we will be going with olympic holidays, plus they also offer more trips.

2 Adults and 1 child travelled. Accomodation was far better than expected. Maid came in daily. Excellent view of the acropolis from our balcony. Not a fan of Karaoke but it was only on one night a week and finished at midnight, good laugh while you sit on your balcony listening. Bar staff were very good and chefs prepared lovely food e.g traditional greek salad ect. brill pools.

We visited this resort 3 years ago when it was half the size it is now, and had a great time with a comfortable apartment, although we didn't have hot water for the first two days. It now appears to cater for wedding groups, and groups of young people, some of whom are intent on having a good time regrdless of the disturbance to other holidaymakers. If you want a quiet holiday either as a couple or a family this is definitely not the place to come. There is an all-night bar, and karaoke that you can here for a large area around the resort.

Our room was poorly equiped for self catering, e.g. no sharp knife, potato peeler, strainer, or corkscrew. and if you are allocated an apartment at the top of the resort, you will need to be fit, because it's a bit of a slog getting up there.

Lindos Gardens, and its staff were of the best standard for such a low cost holiday. I went with my sister and it was the best holiday I have ever had. It's surroundings were great and just a few minutes walk to the local shops. The bar, pools and rooms were very clean no complaints!

There are two beaches which are about a 15 minute walk and are very clean and beautiful. Lindos village is a great place and you wont find a place like it any where else.

Highly recommended.
