I have just returned from a week’s holiday in Lindos Gardens with my boyfriend. I have been to Greece many times before, staying in self catering accommodation, and can honestly say this is the worst I have stayed in. We had the misfortune of staying in the A Block, which I gather from other reviews, are older rooms but that should be no excuse. They had obviously gone to some trouble to replace the doors and windows of the older blocks to match the newer buildings, but left it at that – the inside of the rooms are in desperate need of attention!
On arrival, we were immediately disappointed with the size of the room. It was a very small bed-sit type accommodation with only one plug socket - we just about coped but it was a huge annoyance. How on earth three people staying in this room would cope I don’t know! We did actually ask to be moved, but were pipped to the post by another guest who asked to move rooms and there were no rooms left after that. We were based on the ground floor with a small grass area outside but other blocks were in front so there was no view to speak off, and our room was opposite another terrace so no chance of any privacy. There were lots of ants and spiders on the terrace which would then make their way into the room. The bathroom was disgusting - very dark and dingy and in major need of refurbishing. The toilet seat would not stay up so every time you went to the loo, you had to hold the seat up! The light above the sink had been taped but the wires were still exposed – not sensible when situated next to the shower! There was a flimsy shower curtain but no way on earth could you have a shower with it, as it just wrapped itself around you, the bathroom then simply become a wet room. It was extremely hot when we were there so we had no choice but to fork out 70 euros for air-con, which I think is far too expensive, it’s not as if we could have left the balcony doors open at night because we were on the ground floor. When you add on all the extras like air-con, safety deposit box, being charged by hour for a late check-out, the advertised holiday price quickly becomes much more than you budgeted for.
Overall, I have given this 3 out of 10 and not 1 out of 10 (which is what the accommodation really only deserves) because the complex as a whole was pleasant and friendly – if it wasn’t for the poor standard of accommodation and extra significant costs, I would mark Lindos Gardens much higher. There were two pools and one kids pool and the bar area was modern but the food served was very basic – but Lindos offered an excellent choice of eateries. We ate out at a different restaurant every night and could not fault any of the places we ate at, the food and service was great. The walk down to the town in the evenings is fine but the walk back is steep, but it does keep you fit. Although the newer apartment blocks may be nicer inside (although I can’t confirm that) the walk back to those appartments is even steeper as they are situated right at the very top of the complex and for small children and anybody who isn’t particularly fit, it would be a real struggle. The main beach in Lindos is beautiful and we chose to spend our days there rather than by the pools at Lindos Gardens – although be warned, the walk down to the beach and especially back up is even steeper than the hill down to Lindos, it was hard work in the heat but the beach was worth it.
I would recommend anyone wishing to go to Lindos to go for it, the town had plenty of restaurants, shops and bars to keep you entertained but if you are not particularly bothered about having a pool to hand and spending all your time at a hotel/apartment complex and are happy instead to spend days on the beach, then I would recommend booking accommodation in Lindos town itself (it would save all that walking every evening).
- Advice: Make sure to visit the main Lindos Beach, crystal clear waters. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to keep you entertained in the evening.

This was our 2nd visit 2 Rhoads. We stayed in the middle block by the kiddies pool.. we found this 2 b one of the best hotels we have had.We normally go abroad twice a year, Nice clean room cleaned everyother day and replenished with loo rolls and towels.NO TV or Hairdryer but hey take ur own n who cares about tv on holiday !My bed was a bit bumpy but i had a soafa 2 sleep on so not dissapointed! I found all the staff 2 b very friendly and helpful..Jack & fabio (the bar staff)were always on hand and til early hours. when we were there ,there was a big wedding party, And they were a joy :-).We even meet a few people.Happy hours good ( well happy 2hour)630-830 daily, bbq night was lovely food. Would have liked a greek night. The only fault is that 70 euros 4 the air con is a bit high prised.Although we were on 2nd level we had a fab view of sunrise/fall of the acroppolis. Lidos town is always amazing and never get boared of it, Billys Bar in the town does a mean full english. And reasonably priced.Pals bar great none smoking pub ( although i am a smoker)
I really enjoyed this holiday and if u get 2 hire any transport travel 2 the most southern point where the Aagean and the med meet up thats an experience to have its stunning. And all the villages on the way. lindos gardens I will be returning you were all so nice it makes the holiday complete.. And our rep was most helpful one of the best we have had :-) Im missing u already :-) Thinking of returning in Sept.......

We were in the upper apartments of the Lindos Gardens, which is a bit of a climb, but worth it for the view each morning - Lindos Bay and the Acropolis. The room was spotless and cleaned every other day, the staff were all polite and helpful and Lindos Town was worth another steep, hilly walk, full mof really good Tavernas and shops. We wnt self-catering and cooking facilities within the room were limited, but we were prepared for this and it didn't cause us any problems, although it would have been nice to have had the use of a toaster. Apart from that very minor point, I couldn't fault the Lindos Gardens and I would recommend it to anyone who is able to cope with a steep climb (gets you fit!).

If you book for these apartments ask to be put up by the infinity pool as these apartments are newer - the older part of the lindos gardens ( never usually photographed)
are not very nice - you would be lucky to get a nice room - came here with several people and we compared rooms and though they are basic they are grubby and for instance no netting or glass in above front door and as there were na--gnats or things flying about it wasnt nice especially at night - while another couple had a big room up at the infinity pool and it was like it was another hotel !

When my boyfriend and I stayed at Lindos Gardens it was my first visit to Lindos, and my boyfriend's umpteenth time! He usually stayed in the village but I needed a pool as I am sensitive the the heat and am fair skinned and because I'm nervous about swimming in the sea. So a pool was a huge requirement for me. There was a large choice of swimming pools. However, the eternity pool was closest to our apartment or we would have had to have trecked down and round the hotel to the other pool which isn't what you want to do every time you want to have a dip. Now the eternity pool looks lovely but as we were here in May they had just filled up the pool so it was freeeezing! And if you do get in it, it is very deep and I would not have been able to stand up in it which makes me uncomfortable so I was disappointed with this resort for this reason. Additionally there were quite a few spiders lurking around!
The views from our apartment, however, were amazing we got som fantastic snaps of the acropolis as sunrise and sunset. However, I do not know whether all apartments get this view, I doubt that they do.
The snack bar was very good they offered a lot of snacks and drinks and had an indoor area as well as outdoor which is nice to have offered. The hotel is up the hill in Krana set back from Lindos town, and then up a little bit more, and so this may be a problem for those with mobility problems. However, there is a free bus from the supermarket nearby to the town to resolve this issue and there is a lift at the resort to higher level apartments. I fell over twice - not going down but coming up! However, I had had a few to drink and the scars did serve as good memories!
The hill climb/descend from/to the town is steep but affords amazing views and a good way to work off your excellent meals! However, there is another path to the town which is slightly less steep although it takes slightly longer. This is along past the Lindos Views and round by St. Pauls. I would recommend using this path sometimes as not only will you get to know the town better and discover new places, you will also get lovely views of St. Pauls Bay and avoid the African women who sometimes dwell on the hill path to Lindos to stop tourists, detach them from their group and attach a bracelet (if you can call it that - a thin bit of rope more like)and then demand money for it.
As for the town itself I highly recommend Kalypso restaurant (the lamb is very tasty - this coming from a fussy eater!), and both the Courtyard and Apollo bars. The owners and staff of all these establishments are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home and made our holiday so much better. Additionally the Courtyard bar sometimes offers live Bouzouki (can't spell it) nights - I think it's every sunday night, which frequeently gets people up dancing which is worth a few laughs!
- Advice: Use the other path to the town now and then, especially when the African women are on the other path

We have just returned from a week in Lindos Gardens. The setting was beautiful and the accomodation was clean and the staff very friendly. The self catering was very basic but this tends to be the case in Greece.

over all our holiday was very enjoyable, lindos was lovely, interesting and lively but very expensive. Our lindos gardens appartment was at the top of the complex which was a stuggle with a small child. The rooms could have been cleaner and were extremely basic with only a small cooker and a kettle and no toaster we found it difficult to have breakfast and lunch as we would have liked since the snack bar is expensive even for a simple tea and toast. The bar staff were very friendly and helpfull and the cleaners were regular and very hard working. Although a buggy took us up to our room on arrival with 5 cases, we didnt recieve the same courtesy when we were leaving and was a massive stuggle for my husband to carry them all down again. The pools were nice but again, could have been cleaner. The drinks and food alike are very expensive so the happy hour did come in handy but the menu was limited so we only ate there a few times in the evening. The biggest expense to the point of being ripped off was the air con being 70e per week and when you have two rooms its a bit much but if you have children you need it and therefor they have you over a barrel. Over all, i would not recomend Lindos gardens to anyone with children or a tight budget.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Lindos Gardens and all I can say is that I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were absolutely filthy, to the point where even after the cleane had been in they were dirtier. The water the cleaner mopped the floor with was black, and left a stench in your room after. You get towels on a sunday and have to wait until Thursday for fresh one's. I have a 2 year old and an 8 year old so as you can imagine the towels did not stay clean for long. Under the beds was filthy, with dirty cotton buds and fur balls. The reception staff are very rude and if you have a problem they really have no people skills to deal with it. There are several pools, but the water is never cleaned and the blue paint from the pool walls stains your swim wear and even your skin! There were cochroaches in our room some were dead with ants crawling al over them. I would never go anywhere near the lindos gardens again!!!

After our 6th consecutive visit to Lindos Gardens, we are still amazed by the warmth and friendliness shown to us by the Owner and all his Staff, and cannot praise them enough. The cleanliness of the rooms and facilities are excellent. If you are looking for a Family Holiday, you could not wish for any better in Lindos. During our many visits to Lindos Gardens we have bumped into many families who keep returning as we do - can there be any higher recommendation? We will definitely make our 7th visit soon!

WOW is the first word that came to mind when me and my boyfriend arrived here. Our room was right next to the beautiful infinity pool, amazing views! Room was lovely and spacious, with a maid cleaning up almost every day, she and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downfalls are lack of entertainment as there is only entertainment on monday and friday although the entertainment provided is really really good, we would of liked something small each night, especially the wednesday evening when we left at 1am thurs morning!! The self catering facilities are basic but found it fine, would of been good to have a toaster or microwave!! There is 2 supermarkets at the bottom of the hill leading down from the hotel, these are handy! There is also a very nice greek restaurant, yum yum! Lindos is amazing with such lovely veiws and the hotel was great, would definatly reccommend and would love to return!

Just returned from 2 weeks holiday at Lindos Gardens. Was very concerned before we went due to reviews we had read but can only say that the complex was immaculate. The appartment was clean and modern. The maids came in everyday to empty the bins and four times a week to change the beds and clean appartment thoroughly. We had an appartment right next to the infinity pool and the view from the balcony was beautiful - the acropolis and sea. I would definately recommend it to my family and friends. The only drawback is that there are alot of steps up to the appartment so if you had difficulty in walking this could be a problem.
