Eagle House Hotel

We booked our weekend at Eagle House, Bathford, Bath, (two families) as a surpise to the dads for Fathers Day. From the very first contact Eagle House was responsive to our needs and was flexible in the event that we may arrive late, (travelling in Friday evening rush hour). On arrival, we were made welcome and shown our beautiful, comfortable rooms. We were given advice and directions on somewhere to eat. Our son was getting married in nearby Bath and decided to treat the family to a stay at Eagle House - all eleven of us. Everyone was delighted with the character and spaciousness of this beautiful old house which has been so tastefully restored. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, the lounge truly magnificent and If you enjoy a good breakfast, you won't be disappointed! The hospitality shown by the owners John and Rosamund beats anything you will experience in the best hotels. We will return.

Cannot say enough about the Eagle House. It’s located in a beautiful old mansion in old Bathford, which is a mere 4 miles from Bath. Get out and walk around this ancient old town. Exceptionally clean room with tasteful decor. John, one of the owners, went out of his way to accommodate my special diet (vegan) by having soya milk and yogurt just for me. We came down to Eagle House from London for a birthday weekend and had a fantastic stay with which we were thoroughly impressed. The house is gorgeous and our room was comfortable, light and characterful with a good bathroom and shower. The grounds of the house are well worth exploring as well as setting aside some time to read the papers in the drawing room. My wife booked Eagle house for a weekend Break in April 2007 after I failed to find anything decent under £400. Reluctant at first to stay at a B&B this was allayed as soon as we arrived. The owners could not be more friendly and helpful if they tried. Breakfast was fabulous and the beds very comfortable. The room was just right, bright and airy and thankfully free of the plastic look so often found in hotels. Eagle House is but a short drive from the centre of Bath.
