Combe Grove Manor Hotel

We booked via lastminute.com and paid £143 for a garden room. On arrival we were upgraded to a premier garden room with balcony/2 queen size beds. The hotel is in a wonderful position, lovely long drive, great views, you really feel as if you're getting away from everything. Reception was welcoming and helpful. Our room was OK but furniture had seen better days and there was huge tear in the curtain - not really 4 star although it was clean. This hotel is set in the most picturesque surroundings. We were lucky to have exceptionally good weather for February. So standing on the room balcony early in the morning looking across the mist clad valley with the sun rise breaking through each day was very refreshing. Reading the other reviews it sounds as though the old house part of the hotel provided a lot more character, which would have been nice to experience. Me and my boyfriend just spent a couple of days at the Combe Grove Manor hotel and we would recommend it to anyone!! It is set in the most beautiful area of Bath and is hidden away giving a sense of really being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Booked this hotel as a package deal for my birthday. Deal included hotel, use of pool/sauna, 4 30min treatments and dinner for two. The room had a great veiws over the valleys, and would be great in spring summer to sit out in the little patio area, and use the outdoor pool. Room was fine,warm and well equipt.
