Travelodge Oxford Peartree

When booking the hotel i was asked if i wanted breakfast. I said yes and booked two breakfasts. When arriving at the hotel i find out that there is no bar/restaurant so my breakfast is a bag left outside my door. I was not very happy, i will not be making the same mistake again. The breakfast consisted of a sachet of coffee, a cereal with horrible milk and a disgusting smoothie.
Also the hotel was in a shabby state with carpet coming up on the floor and marks on the walls.
There was a holiday inn next door to the hotel which we had to drink in, with its own bar, and generally looked a lot nicer.
The two stars are only for the cleanliness of my room, which is consist in most travelodges.
I recommend not staying here, and if you do, dont order the breakfast, go to the little chef over the road.

Ok for the price, but be prepared to wait for a cab if you need one and also they charge £3 to park which is not mentioned when you book. Bare essentials in the Bathroom too, 1 x tiny bar of soap for a family of 4 , that's your lots so best self cater on the cleaning front. Very mean with the in room drink selection and basic terrestrial TV only with no teletext or Channel 5!!!! If you don't Fancy the little thief across the road which is pricey even with the discount coupon, try the Kidlington Sainsbury's Cafe about a 5 minute drive nearby. For an evening meal there is also a good Harvester 1 min beyond Sainsbury's turn. However finishing on a positive, clean, plenty of towels and the family room is a good size.
