I went to theswe apartments back in 2007 i had a brilliant time! I have been to Greece many times but can i always say Kos was my Fav Island to go to. I'm Returning back to Kos this year as i liked it so much! The apartments where Clean and where big! This is a nice standard Hotel Apartments and not even a 10min walk into the town!
- Advice: I had a Fantastic time

Simply the best. Beautiful little hotel with the friendliest staff possible. Ideal location, only 10mins walk from the beach or 10mins walk into the busy harbour area with all it's shops and restaurants. Might not suit rowdies as there is no kareoke, but would suit young children (the pool area is very secure) and more mature couples or individuals who want something slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the busy town. People holidaying alone would not feel out of place.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. For example, we arrived after midnight and the bar had closed, but when the night receptionist (the hotel reception is open all night) saw my dissapointment he scurried off and came back with a glass of wine. How sweet!
The breakfast is a banquet with boiled eggs, ham, cheese, home-baked bread, toast, home-made chocolate cookies, olives, apricots, delicious creamy Greek yoghurt, cereal, fresh milk, juice, mineral water, herbal teas, coffee, latte, marmalade, jam etc. and you help yourself to as much as you like from the buffet. All for free! You can even order freshly cooked eggs (3 eggs!)and bacon as well for only £2. So much you don't need lunch!
WHOLE HOTEL VERY CLEAN AND FRESHLY DECORATED IN LIGHT COLOURS. Loads of flowers and plants everywhere. Very comfortable. And if you want to visit the ancient, sacred healing temple (the Asklepion) it is a very pleasant walk away.
Our rooms were spacious but even if some are smaller, who wants to spend all day in their room with beautiful Kos to explore? And what an island! It opens its arms and embraces you with love, hospitality and stunning scenery. (There are myths about magical healing powers and I have to say my all my aches and pains definately improved whilst we were there, and my daughters acne completely cleared up!)
I would ignore the poor reviews on this site from years ago, they are not at all accurate now. Everything is 100 percent better than those old comments imply. It is a shame that such comments from years ago should tarnish this hotel now. However, it does mean that this hotel is now THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN GREECE! If everybody knew how good it was, we wouldn't be able to get in, it would be fully booked. Take advantage of this, and book it now before they all find out! I couldn't recommend it more highly and I will return again and again.

A real treasure of a hotel in a perfect location on a beautiful island that seems to hold out its arms and embrace you with warmth and friendliness. The Anastasia hotel and apartments is small and family run, so therefore the guests can be treated like personal friends and my goodness, we were! Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived after midnight and the bar was closed, but the night receptionist rushed to get me a glass of wine when he saw I was disappointed.
The hospitality alone is enough to go there for, but there are some other bonuses too. It is located on the outskirts of the very small town of Kos, so you don't have the roar of traffic and too much hustle and bustle. But it is still only a 10 minute walk to the busy harbour area with all its great shops and restaurants, AND it is only a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach. (I know, because I timed it)
You can also walk to the stunning sanctury and temple to the god of Healing, Asklepious, renowned for miraculous healing and home to Hippocrates.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the reception staff (Betty and Chloe) very knowledgeable. The owner, Dimitris (looks like George Clooney but with longer hair and a bomber jacket) was available morning and night.
Thankfully no Kareoke, so suitable for older couples. I would have felt very safe with young children, the pool area is small and well contained so you couldn't loose them.
We stayed in the apartments rather than the hotel rooms and they were spacious and well stocked. Shampoo and soap provided, plus an efficient hair dryer. Shower only though.
Loads of things on offer for breakfast, eggs, bacon, cereal, home-baked bread, toast, yoghurt, apricots, olives, ham, cheese, home-made chocolate cookies, jam, marmalade, juice, cappacino, coffee, fresh milk for tea, variety of herbal teas. etc. A real feast.
- Advice: Its got a bit of everything. Not too big, not too small.
- Activities: The healing, thermal hot spring which bubbles into the sea & cures skin conditions and arthritis

My husband and I booked this Holiday last minute. I already knew someone who had stayed at the Anastasia and trusted their judgement.
The staff were friendly, funny, and really helpful. They were always happy to help with directions into town, where to catch buses to see other parts of the island and even let us use a spare room to shower & change on the last day as we had a late departure.
Rooms were very clean. One of the cleanest places I've stayed in in Greece. They were spacious and had plenty of storage for hanging clothes.
The bathroom although a bit dated in decor was clean and fully functional.
Kitchen was great although we only really used the fridge.
Breakfast was served in a seperate quite room off the side of the pool. There was a good selection of most continental cuisine. The pool bar also had a great snack bar...our favourite was greek salad & chips with the best feta cheese, 2 big slices!
We'd go back there in a heartbeat and highly recomend this hotel to anyone! There were families with small children, couples of all ages and small groups of friends. It's an ideal spot to kick back & have a laugh and is only a short 10 minute stroll through quiet residentail streets into town.

We went to Kos in may 2008 with my daughter (8y) and my friend. I was reading the Reviews thinking probably we should not go for it but as my daughter's name is Anastasia (which is exact spelling of the Hotel's name) we gave it a lucky shot.
It is 3 star Hotel and it has EVERYHING for a 3 star Hotel. I would not complain about a thing as we did not go on Holiday to stay in the room and watch TV. we went there to have fun and be near the beach. All day we were outside anyway. Well, small rooms, small showers...propably i would agree..but Hay! it was not winter..and there plenty showers at the Beach Staff was amazingly friendly, manager was very helpful anytime. Ma daughter had many Freebies..probably cuz she has Greek origin name! Food was OK, not the best breakfast, but we were there to explore, so we dined in different resaurants, so I was not bothered with breakfast variety.
There was NO noise in the night as described in comment year 2007, may be cuz it was May not June. ALL the testaurants we went to were great, especially fish restos. people of Kos are extremely friendly eveywhere, it felt like family. Theye were very welcoming and pleasing, not because we were paying money...; theye are just like that even the day you leave.
Like Mamma MIA! Movie set...even brighter, warmer and spectacular!
Only One WARNING:try not to Buy Tours from the REP as it is a rip off. We paid £80 for 2 adults and one child for a Tour on a Boat. The same amount for a Tour to active Volcano; even more money to travel to Turkey for a day..ONLY to find out that the same boats would offer tickets on the day for £10 each and even let my child FREE. Big difference.
We enjoyed the town of kos, a lot to see in a week time. enjoyed the trip to Volcano and other islands. But the best thing were people of Kos, who adore children SO much, that my daughter did not want to go back to England as she never met such friendly people around her; so she was really hypnotised by Kos family culture.
I would advice any family to go to kos and stay in Anastasia. it would not be a massive fun plcae for 20year old to party hard, but for a small family or a couple is JUST BEST PLACE. Have a nice holiday and regards to manager of Anastasia Dimitris:)))

We have nothing nice to say about this hotel at all.
Staff are not helpful or friendly. We stayed in the hotel side (apartments on the other). The hotel rooms were very small, had no air conditioning, tiniest bathroom you can imagine that smelt of sewerage.
The lights didn’t work in the room and had to wait until the next day before they were fixed. When the man came to fix them he just barged into the room and into the bathroom were I was showering!!
When we asked to upgrade our room to the apartments we were told that we had to pay an extra €500 each, even though we had already paid for the hotel room for 2 weeks.
The hotel had no entertainment whatsoever, apart from a bar maid who was very friendly (English). It was very expensive to buy drinks in the bars, averaging €12 for two drinks.
The only place we would recommend was Jacksons Bar and the Chinese restaurant above it (madesha's?) - Very nice food and the people there were very friendly - including Irish Tony who always threw in a few drinks for us!
There is lots of bars and restaurants around the harbour. Bar Street is very lively on a night time but can tire of the constant mothering of the staff outside trying to get you to go to their bar. There are beggars around the harbour and in the town whose children followed you for money which was very sad and very uncomfortable to see.
Apart from the hotel, Kos was nice; we would recommend this to younger groups wanting a drinking holiday but would not recommend this hotel.

We left for Kos on the 12 September the flight was excellent was not delayed and was smooth throughout. When we arrived it was warm and hot the tour operators were there to greet us.
The luggage was quick to come out under half hour which for such a small airport I thought was brilliant. Once we collected the luggage the coach left within half hour two it took under 1 hour to get to the apartments and the rep on the bus was fantastic explaining what was around and what the island had. When we arrived in the apartments they were very helpful.
The room we got was on the first floor no lift to first floor but only 5 steps lifts to all other floors. The room was spacious and clean had a living room with kitchen, kitchen was basic all utensils there that was needed.
Bathroom big but one problem the curtain shower was a little too small and made the floor wet while showering it also blew everywhere. The bedroom was big with a dressing table which was big. Wardrobe was only space for storage but it was big enough with shelves too.
The balcony was really big and clean looked on to trees and big open space no building works or disturbances.
A few big problems but didn't affect our time there really. No depositing facilities in the apartment but depositing boxes in the reception that you pay 10 Euros for and no air conditioning but can get one for 10 Euros too.
Swimming pool was clean and fantastic pool bar food and beverages were very good staff excellent and friendly manager always around and very helpful 7 minute walk to centre not good for young people looking for nightlife but for me and my partner was fantastic.
The beach is not sandy manly stony as its main attraction is the harbourer you can get a boat from Kos town to Bodrum (Turkey) for very good prices and you can visit other islands.
Overall a really enjoyable holiday just watch for the free shots they give you.

We booked a month before going for the last week of the season and were pleasantly surprised. We thought everyone on the island may be a little tired and apathetic towards the remaining tourists, but found all without exception really pleasant, happy and nothing too much trouble.
The Anastasia apartments are cheap but cheerful - my patio doors to the balcony wouldn't lock, and the manager immediately came armed with a screwdriver to fix them, though they fell apart again the next day! Walls very thin and we could hear just about every word from the occupants either side of our apartment.
Breakfast adequate (continental) but food available at the local tavernas much nicer. Hotel is on a main road, and the positioning of surrounding buildings seems to amplify traffic sounds & worse if windows open. Pool not heated and not quite warm enough to go in for me, but the boys enjoyed it.
We hired bikes to check out Tigaki which was fun cycling along the coastal road, and back via the Asklepeion ruins. Prices not much different to the UK so don't expect a cheap holiday. Most of the shops full of cheap tat and more than you would pay for at home (fridge magnets, playing cards, dream weavers etc). We expected some authentic Greek crafts, but may have been looking in the wrong places. Boat trip to Turkey and Nissyros (volcanic island) a must.
Overall not bad, but I wouldn't make it my main holiday of the year.

There was 12 of us that went to the island of Kos for a birthday celebration. We stopped in the hotel Anastasia it was fantastic, the management, the bar staff, even to the cleaners were so friendly. 5 mins to all the shops and 10 mins to the beach. Also there is the opportunity as we did and went on a boat trip for the day to some of the islands around Kos.
Tuesday is the day if your lucky enough to be there still, to catch the "FLYING DOLPHIN" across to Turkey for there market day. UNREAL
Its highly recommend that you go with the Hotel Anastasia. The rooms were clean and well looked after. The only problem is that there is no air conditioning but..... it out rules everything.

Where do I start! There were two of us staying in the hotel with bed and breakfast but the self catering looked a lot better.
The hotel rooms are very small especially the bathroom where really you can only fit one person in at a time. Our toilet leaked a lot causing it to smell all the time and like the previous comment says the shower does leak all over the floor. The wardrobe is tiny and there isn't a lot of space to hang clothes up.
The rooms at night get very hot and the noise is sometimes unbearable. People coming back really late at night i.e. 4am and making loads of noise.
The road was also noisy at night especially from motorbikes. One night we only slept for 4 hours.
I would advise people considering this hotel not to go and if you have to go to the self catering apartments. The breakfast looked like it had been left out all night anyway.
The only positive part of the hotel was the staff as they were very friendly and helpful unlike first choice!
Kos Town itself is ok but I wouldn't recommend it if you want a quiet beach holiday as it is lively and the beach is packed with sun loungers.

We were a group of 18 year olds, not badly behaved yet as soon as we walked through the door the staff had decided that we were trouble. They treated us like little school children. We were paying exactly the same price as everyone else in the hotel yet we received no respect, all we got was plain rudeness everyday, especially from the night guard, who on our last night shouted abuse at us in the lobby telling us to "go back to our county" (and that is the polite version).
The rooms are tiny, no air-conditioning, not even a fan, even though there was a heat wave, the shower is ridiculous, the water goes all over the bathroom meaning that anything you've put on the floor is ruined, not to mention the water coming under the door into the room itself. We stayed for 8 nights and in this time our room was cleaned once on the 2nd day, which meant we were sleeping on the same sheets for the length of our stay and we had no fresh towels. I would never even consider going back to this hellhole; it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

We stayed in the apartments side of the hotel which is furthest from the road so road noise not an issue but I can imagine some of the rooms next to the road will get noisy. In a nutshell.
CONS:
Some noise in rooms although not excessive.
Not for the 18-30 group holidays (hotel or Kos!)
PROS:
Very clean rooms/ friendly staff/ clean pool.
Aircon in rooms.
Excellent location (some shops/restaurants within seconds and town centre 10 min stroll away - we were fine with 3 young children)
