A fantastic short break. The hotel was clean, breakfast plentiful and the staff really helpful & friendly (spoke pretty good English, as did most Czechs we were fortunate to meet).
Once you sussed the tram system you were AWAY! So simple and regular, always got you to your destination in no time. But do hang on and keep your belongings very close to you and your ticket handy. Transport police are about, and as its so cheap to travel its really not worth trying to slip the system!
So many wonderful places to visit and the amazing architecture to take in, while you sit sipping draught Pilsner for pence, on one of the many street cafes & bars, which seem to appear as if by magic on every corner you turn.
I would highly recommend Prague to anyone who wants a carefree break, minimal hassle, maximum culture. Get there before the masses force the prices up and worse of all indoctrinate this amazing and beautiful city with their multicoloured language and dire behaviour.
Do try some culture while you're there, I know there's so much else to do & see, but give the opera or ballet a shot, we booked a box to ourselves to see Swan Lake for £15.00 each! (Full orchestra and Ballet company).
Take the plunge and go for a city break. An Incredible Prague Break!
