The Nottingham Belfry Hotel

As a wheelchair user, I booked this hotel because of the impressive, detailed access information on the QHotels website. In terms of accessibility, they fulfilled their promise. Registration and check out were fine, with the staff were willing to move to the low level counter with being asked. The hotel was modern and accessible, but the experience in the Lawrence Restaurant left us with a poor impression of the hotel. We were recomended to book as "it gets busy", so we did so. check in was very efficient, problems were all with the restaurant and bar. staff tried hard but admitted they did not normally work in restaurant. food was very bland, service v slow, staff said it was v busy but only about 4 other tables were being used. another party gave up and left without getting any food. bar told me that they could not sell me a bottle of merlot, but they could let me have a bottle of white wine instead! eventually a supervisor spun us a line about having seperate cellars for the bar and the restaurant and keys for... more

Modern establishment offering good all round facilities. Breakfast very diversified and good quality. Evening Meal OK. However although staff are totally committed to please there is a training need for a four star status. For a weekend £150 Package for two people offering two nights bb plus £30 allowance pp for first night evening meal offrers exceptional value.

Great stylish hotel approx 10 mins drive from the city centre. Four of us stayed over for a 40th party in the city. Hotel rooms were really clean and modern. Bathrooms had a separate shower cubicle with a great shower. Mirrored doors on the wardrrobe, flat screen tv, bed was comfy. Breakfast was great with a large selection cereals, danish pastries and full english. Service was quick and friendly. My husband and I booked to stay at the Nottingham Belfry last minute for a whistle stop walking tour of the Southern Peak District. We paid £69 fro bed and breakfast for one night. The hotel is very modern and in a convenient location but does have the feel of a business park! We wouldn't have enjoyed a relaxing hotel break here just due to the surrounding area. nice modern clean hotel inside. staff could be more friendly on reception / conferencing. i suggest they employ a landscaper as the hotel looks as though it is in the middle of waste ground. this lets the outside of this 4*hotel down .it hasn't got a good "kerb - side " appeal. too suggest you hold weddings there , i hope it was to early for everything to be developed. it's ashame only the weeds had bloomed! not recomended for the gardening enthuiast hopefully the hotel will revamp the outside into a urban paradise?

The Nottingham Belfry was a stones throw from an appointment that we had locally but big mistake - the worst food we have ever had in a hotel! Reservation and check in :We telephoned the hotels central booking line, they couldn't take a reservation and had to call us back, they then didn't call us back and we had to call them again. My fiancé and I booked a Romantic Weekend Escape package at the Nottingham Belfry in February 2007. The booking was made directly on the phone rather online knowing that there were some difficulties with the online booking systems. Having driven 3hours on the motorways, finding the hotel from the M1 was straightforward and just a 10-15 minute drive to the centre of Nottingham.
