Alma Di Alghero Hotel

What a nightmare. When we arrived 1am in the morning we were dumped in the basement, known to some of the guests who also had the pleasure of staying over night in the "dungeons". In the morning we were told that one of our rooms would be ready at 11am and the other at 2pm. My room which we had was supposes to be a sea view was far from it but the other was ok so I didn't mind too much. The young men who were bar staff/dining staff were very rude and they smelt very badly of BO. It was awful. The food on the other hand was the worst slop I have ever seen. One morning a large tray of peas was up for grabs at breakfast. The dinner was.the same, not edible and there was no signs to tell you what it was and you could not tell by looking at it. Web had to eat out every night. Lots of the other guests felt the same. We had The Hera Beach Hotel, but when we arrived we were told it was closed. This hotel
Said it was 4 star but there was not a sign of a star outside the hotel. So be warned do no book Any of the Hera Hotels as they have they have the same staff. Beside the rain, storms and power cuts we found a lovely restaurant called Kaytis huts outside the hotel. What a ray sunshine. The waiters were great and kept us entertained, the food was pretty good too. Some of the guests couldn't wait to go home, we were counting the days. Would return to Turkey again but definitely not the Hera.
