Very good overall

Aug 2011, sandy

We recieved a warm welcome on arrival from the manager and reception staff, and were dealt with and given room keys fast and efficiently. Rooms were kept very clean and clean towels were provided every day.
Food was good, and dining staff excellent.
The only problem we had was at the pool bar where the lady manager seemed to have a problem in providing drinks for four of us at one time. Other staff however didn't seem to have a problem.

On arrival and for the rest of the week, the staff where in no way disappointing. With big smiles and fast, effective and charming service. From the pool bar staff to the reception down to the restaurant staff. In fact, those in the dining room were above and beyond. (And pretty good looking too!!!)
The room was as expected, all functioning well and cleaned each day - also, the shower is probably better than my one at home which was a big plus. The only negative aspect about the room would be additional costs for the safe.
The facilities were good, lots to do for a variety of ages and each day there seemed to be stuff going on throughout the day. Though, I didn't participate, it didn't disturb my sunbathing or relaxing which was good. The pool was a bit cold but after getting in and warming up that was quite refreshing in the heat! There's a handy supermarket in the hotel with lovely and helpful staff in their too and a few home comforts.
The food was really impressive, given the fact it's all inclusive buffet. With fresh oven baked pizzas just for snack time! There were lots of options, even healthy ones which was really useful. The BBQ and Asian cuisine also looked and smelt great. With different themes each night they managed to get a fair bit of variety in there too. The only improvements i'd suggest is a LITTLE more variety during snacks.
It's in a great location - close to Rhodes, Faliraki, the waterpark, shops and a GREAT cafe called Illios.

Rooms were a disappointment

We stayed in the old part of the hotel and on arrival we complained about the 'family' room we were given and were told to speak to the manage the next morning. The alternative room we were offered was just as bad so we decided to stick with the first room because we had all our belongings in there.
Our room was desperately in need of modernisation and the whole room we had was filled with our 4 beds for me, my partner and 2 teenage children so there was hardly any space to move.
The air conditioning didn't work properly and the only place to irom our clothes was on top of the air conditioning unit that was covered with an old wooden cupboard that also was used up as a stand for a large tv.
We could only use 1 plug socket because the adapter covered the other 2 plug sockets.
The room was dark and dingy and the bathroom was the same with an old shower that didn't work properly.
I would stay in the area again but definitely not at that hotel because the rooms were so bad, I've stayed in a 2 star hotel that had much better rooms!
The food, pool, location, beach and staff were great so we had no other complaints and would recommend the holiday for these reasons, we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday but the room did spoil it for us so I wouldn't recommend it if you had to stay in the same room as a family.

We had an enjoyable stay at this Hotel. The food was excellent, good choice and very fresh. Everything seemed to run smoothly. The view was amazing and the rooms very clean. All in all a very relaxing time, the taxi and bus service ran straight to Rhodes, just outside the hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks with our 4 year old twin daughters and my sister and brother-in-law. We had read mixed reviews, so were a bit apprehensive, but looking forward to it. It was the first time we had ever tried all inclusive.
I am delighted to say that the experience was nothing but positive. The staff we friendly, the accomodation was satisfactory and the facilities were good. The Kids' club gave us a break a couple of times during the week abd "Steff" and "Alessio" did a great job. The evening entertainment, was not exactly West End, but for a low-cost family holiday, it was ideal. The animation team kept things ticking during the day, but were never pushy. We found friendship with some of the other guests, but wished that some had kept better control over their kids (especially at the self-service buffet meals). This was almost certainly the best holiday any of us have ever had.
The biggest negative was that the beach was rather more shingle than the brochure had lead us to expect, but the pool area was great. Being fairly early in the season we did not have any difficulty getting sunbeds, but can imagine that it may be an issue in the height of the Summer. We would recommend this Hotel without hesitation.

Just got back from a holiday for one week here, wish we could of stayed longer. Great choice of food, friendly staff, and clean. Weather great, very hot, ideal for those who like to relax, or even for those who like to keep busy, water sports available, pedal boats, glass bottom boat trips, para-sailing,bus jouneys short, 20 mins to Rhodes Old Town, which is a definate to visit. Also 50 mins to Lindos, which is an amazing city. 40 min walk to Faliraki, quiet during the day, lots of shops, night life at night. Would definatley make a return visit, this was recommended by a friend to us, we would most certaintly recommend this resort to other people. The only down side was the transfer from the airport, said in the brochure 25mins, took 1 hour 20 mins, we were the last but on drop off.

I would recommend this Hotel to families, couples and even small groups as there were a few and well behaved i might add. Like its guests the hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English despite coming from numerous countries across Europe. The Hotel was a clean tidy well furnished building in an good relaxed location with good entertainment and features. The food had a wide range of varieties throughout the whole day. Its only 100m or so away from the huge Waterpark. I would defintely return there.

What a fantastic holiday, we arrived in the night and was shown to our room, which yes was dated but was very suprised at how big it was! there was plenty of storage space for our things. There was water provided in the fridge in our room.
We are a young family of 4, myself my husband and our 2 girls who are 1 and 3 and this hotel was perfect for us. It is on the beach so we could go back and forth with ease. The kids club was great and was a great place to get out of the midday sun, my 3 yr old made alsorts of keyrings and bracelets and pictures with sand all of wich must have cost allot of money to fund yet this was a free service!
The food was lovely so much on offer that we never got bored, the bbq on the beach and the chinese make a lovely change.
The staff were all really nice and made a fuss of the kids all the time and even remembered their names!
The entertainment was really good the kids loved all the dances and the costume changes.
I ate so much i started to join in the water aerobics in my second week which was so much fun!
If i would have read these reviews before going i would be in a right panic! that is why i feel inclined to add mine now! i dont know what hotel these people went to but it sure wasnt the same holiday that we went on. We are looking into going back next year because i dont think any other will compare to this one.

OKOKOK, where do i start? firstly arriving at this hotel at 4am to find no shops open or anywhere u could get a drink. in a family of 6 with the youngest being 3, we was gasping for a drink. reception staff told us that there were no drinks available and the nearsest shop was 10 mitues away in a taxi. so we had to wait sevrel hours later for breakfast.
secondly we asked for a first floor room as the youngest was quite hyperactive and needed a low rise room, we were told that we were guarnteed a first floor roomm when book and got a 5th floor room and was told we had to wait till next day to change room if available. then we were separted as a family in differnt blocks, with 1 half being in a old haunted hole, which further on in the hoilday trapped 3 people in, and was told to move rooms at 3am with cleaners help.???
entertaiment, WHAT ENTERTAINMENT. the shows was more like a primary schoool drama class, with the youngest russian entertainer being a flirt, which coursed tention beetween alot of people. and on one of the last nites, the lighting fell down in the hotel nearly killed one lady, and a family member who was 14 who was sitting right next to her.it was like somthing out of casturelty, as paramedics and police swarmed the hotel.and the next day itm was like nothing had happend.
food was ok, but as someone has already said drinks was waterd down so much the fizz went out within seconds of being pured into a small plastic cheap cup.
and somtimes then u would be giving the wrong drink by the very rude bar staff who was very rude through out the hoilday.
also if uve got kids and ur going here, watch at all times as our 3 year old nearly drownd while the life guard was playing on his phone, and even then when he saw him drowing he walked over casuley, 3 people had already jumped in at this point. then we got told after not to jump in, even tho we were jumping in to save him!!
also our 3 year went to see the playgroup and was welcomed with a dirty look and one of the girls snatching paints off us, like we did somtheing wrong, VERY RUDE!
and the lifts also another drama in it selfs u had to be linthen kristy to get in or ud be shut in the doors like our pushchair did. or some old guys arm!?!
this hotel is not a 4 star, its more like a 2 and thats being nice. dont get me wrong tho restraunt staff was brillant!! but as for the rest very rude!! and i will not be returning!

Just returned from an 11 night...

Just returned from an 11 night holiday at this hotel and resort. The resort and the location of this hotel was purfect, both Rhodes Town and Falaraki were just a short taxi ride away. As for the Hotel where do i start - The hotel is rated a 4 star and although very clean and the food was fantasic the best that i have ever had on an all inculsive holiday, it was very old fashioned and looked as though it was from the seventies. When was the last time you had carpet in your hotel room abroad?
It was directly on the beach but this was described as wide and very sandy and yes it was wide but i wouldn't call it sandy it was very coarse and partly pebbley.
The animation team at the hotel was awful - the entertainment really let this Hotel down
the shows if you could call them that were terrible and unless you were sitting right at the front you couldn't hear anything as they didn't use microphones - also although they didn't swear in words they were forever making rude hand gestures to each other - which lead to the children asking questions, this is meant to be a family hotel. However we were on holiday with friends and had a fantasic time the weather was great didn't see a cloud for the whole time we were there.

Three words "don't go there"! No way...
2 / 10
Jul 2008, Mrs L Powell

2 readers found this review helpful

Three words "don't go there"! No way is this a 4 star hotel, not even a 3 star. We've been to Greece lots of times over the past few years and this was the worse hotel we've ever stayed in. Far too large (700 rooms), mostly Russian, Polish, Lithuanian and Austrian with no manners whatsoever. Big groups of teenagers on what could possibly be school trips. The hotel was on the beach but you were charged for your sunbeds on the beach and when queried with the hotel they said they didn't own the beach, although the man collecting the money was one of their employees.
Good points:
Room was very clean although the place needed some updating.
Reception staff very good.
Beach was quite nice only pebbly when you got the water's edge but you can buy some special shoes that you can wear in the sea, which was the cleanest sea I've seen for a long time.
As long as you got your towel on a sunbed by 8.30am you were ok!
Bad points:
In the middle of nowhere! 3km from Faliraki and 12km from Rhodes. Easy to get a bus into but when you've paid all inclusive you don't expect to have to travel out for your entertainment. In close proximity: one restaurant, one bar and about 4 market type shops.
Not suitable for couples unless its lots of couples all going together.
Bad mannered people.
Three lifts which only held 6 people each serviced the entire hotel, you spent ages waiting for one and then when it came along, people just pushed in front of you.
5 ladies toilets in the pool vicinity to accommodate probably over 700 women and children and only cleaned once a day!
Drinks at the bar served in small cheap plastic cups, you never got a pint of beer it was always a small plastic cup.
Food - repetitive and seldom hot! Although there was lots of food all day long, it was the same. When a particular dish ran out, it took the staff quite a while to replenish the trays for people.
Restaurant staff worked very hard but got treated poorly by holidaymakers and didn't want to make conversation with you.
I had severe stomuch upset one day from one of the drinks in the Central Bar and then another day my husband had severe stomuch upset and sickness at the same time and couldn't eat for 24 hours after a drink from the Central Bar!
Everything you wanted in the restaurant was like a conveyor belt, even your tea and coffee you would have to go and get from a vending machine. Other hotels we've visited and you were shown to a table and asked if you would like tea or coffee and in the evening wine, beer or soft drinks and it would be brought to you by the restuarant staff (this happens at the Iberostar or Mitsis chain of hotels) .
Entertainment - WHAT ENTERTAINMENT! Kiddies mini-disco from 8.45 to 9.20 and then you had to wait about 20-25 mins for the "adult" show to start which then was so poor we walked out within 5 minutes.
Disco - again very poor and not for adults only, kiddies still running around all night.
We paid £1500 for our holiday and to be quite honest, I wouldn't have paid £500 for this if I'd known more about it. It's put us off all inclusive and next time we're going self catering.
