I know Travelodge is a budget chain but that doesn't mean getting away with the following.
Travelodge Harrogate has no parking. The nearest car park charges TEN POUNDS to park there for a few hours. You are not warned of this when you book.
You are warned that there may be some noise from a nearby bar. There are actually several bars all around the base of the Travelodge building and they are extremely noisy until the early hours e.g., 4am. You are not warned that there is also a very noisy generator which will buzz all night long, nor are you warned about the delivery trucks for the nearby bars and for Travelodge itself, which will start to arrive at 5.30 / 6am beeping as they reverse underneath your window, which in the Summer you have to have open because the rooms are far too hot. The staff are not hugely helpful and just parrot a prepared speech at you before dismissing you.
On the up-side, the room was clean and there were clean towels.
On the downside - I booked a hotel room to get some SLEEP!!! And if there's no parking available - warn me please.
Very poor - I would not only not recommend Travelodge Harrogate, I will actively warn people against staying at this place.
