This place was perfect! The location is stunning - right in the heart of the jungle with monkeys, lizards, deer, bats not too far from your doorstep (and, in some cases, balcony!). The food was absolutely delicious and with an impressive choice to suit every taste. The ladies in our party were presented with a beautiful flower on arrival, and we were all served complimentary freshly squeezed juices and a cooling face cloth to freshen us up after our long journey. A really lovely touch.
The rooms have everything you need and are tastefully furnished.
The only negative comments would probably be:- the length of time it takes to order a drink, the time it takes to arrive and the time it takes to get the bill to sign. But, on reflection, maybe its us who have it wrong. We spend so much of our time in a rush and wanting things quickly, we don't stop and relax and enjoy the surroundings we're in.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

WOW - Words are simply not enough to describe this fantastic hotel!
Built into the side of a rock, camouflaged by the jungle and 1km long, overlooking the lake with 3 pools, 1 infinity pool which looked as though it flowed into the lake.
Our room was amazing, very clean, large and spacious with views looking over Sigiria. The bathroom was stunning with a huge Jacuzzi bath with a rainforest shower above the bath. The bath overlooked the jungle and a glass partition separated you from the monkeys, not sure who was more amused!
Although we were warned not to leave doors open because of the monkeys, we did and we had a raiding party who were satisfied with a packet of crisps!
The restaurant had spectacular views complimented by a good selection of buffet style food, English and Sri-Lankan.
The staff were very helpful and attentive.
We went on an elephant safari from the hotel which was wonderful, and we used the hotel as a base whist touring the area but would have liked to have spent more time enjoying the hotel.
I would to love come back again!
