Travelodge Leicester

We only booked this hotel because of it's location since we came to visit a sick relative at the Royal Infirmary. I have never used Travelodge before and will never use it again or recommend it to anyone. The staff were totally unhelpful and unprofessional we arrived at about 10 am and were told we couldnt book in till midday (at an extra charge of £10) . Absolutely awful!!! A travelodge without a car park does this make sense? After negotiating the centre of Leicester after a long journey was one thing but then to park in an NCP car park 5 minutes away (which we had to pay for !!!) is no fun although little did we realise the hotel had much more fun in store for us. Stayed here after a night out in Leicester. Good location and excellent parking facilities at St Nicholas Circle... £4.50 for 24 hours is a bargain! Accommodation was good... we weren't troubled by the road noise, even though the room faced the inner ring road (might be because it was the Sunday before Bank Holiday Monday). We missed breakfast (as it was only served until 10am) and opted for lunch as our favourite Leicester restaurant, Le Bistrot Pierre.
