We stayed here from 17th Feb 08 till 22nd feb B&B board. The hotel is clean and very well maintained refub was taking place in section A. Our rooms was clean and well decorated. The dinning area was clean and the bars where great too,the bar staff are quite friendly. The Nightclub is alot to be desired from the acts that was on midweek maybe wkends is a diff feel. the hairdressers is a very good salon and me,my sis,my mum and auntie all had our hair done and nails done for a alot less price to home and was chuffed to bits. You are quite out of prague, but the metro is 5mins walk to get you into central prague which takes about 25mins.the train service was spot on and great to use to get around prague. Only down side was foreign students taking over the reception area and smoking.which made the reception smokey and your clothes smelt of it.
All in all its a good location if you dont want to be right in prague and easy access to hop and off metro.

Best Western hotels imply a certain level of comfort, and the Globus was no exception.
The hotel has a young and quirky staff, however, which may not be to the taste of all customers. "Come play with us" is the hotel motto! My daughter appreciated the free Internet access and the large TV screens showing every football match imaginable!
Breakfasts were fine....although the "hot" part seemed to consist solely of very yellow scrambled egg and bits of frankfurter sausage. Yummy little croissants and pastries though!
Although quite handily placed for a Metro station (Policlinico) there is not a lot in the immediate vicinity. We found an excellent restaurant on the first night, but there was not much else. As venturing on the metro is not a particularly safe option at night, I would have preferred to be in a hotel surrounded by a bit more nightlife.
As a city, Rome is superb... if you've not been, please go! We didn't find it expensive, although beware dodgy taxi drivers! The metro is cheap and easy to use....4 Euros gives you a 24 hour pass...and the Trastevere area of the city is a must for bargain eating.
My daughter and I had a 3 course meal (prawn risotto, sea bream and pannacotta) plus a litre of wine and water for the princely sum of 29 Euros! We slept the rest of the afternoon!
