i recently stayed at this hotel with friends and had a warm greeting. Me and my friends thought the hotel was well situated and had the pleasure beach near by and s also near sandcastle. Rooms are good for money and food also and would recomend to other. :)

The Glenshee was not just a shabby hotel, it was an experience of a life time, as an Australian on holiday in Blackpool I was amazed by the amount of staff who worked themselves to death for a fat lazy man who made his daughter answer the phone, Did i mention his daughter is 12.
The hotel was a quiet a hole, leaving memories in my mind of a rotten banana behind my mirror and whenever i wished for a shower after my dinner, I was found to be causing flooding in the kitchen area.
The company of the fellow guests was fantastic and we found the entertainment made by the fellow guests was much more entertaining than the inhouse who were talentless and not worth our time.
The distance from central and south peers was horrendous and even after drinking 9 illegal drinks which the barman gladly served me it still took forever to reach anywhere we wanted to go.
I found the 'Glenshee hotel experience' to be a memorable part of my travels around the Uk and also did find some lifelong friends through it, which I am glad happened, the Glenshee Hotel changed my life.

Just about to depart faulty towers aka the glenshee hotel. My room for 2 was no more than
a broom cupboard. The hygiene and overall condition of the hotel was well below any standard of decency. I had a pigeon in my room at 1 point, which had poohed on the window ledge, was there an actual cleaner for hotel? I could go on, but i'm afraid it's not worth the effort.
Disgruntled guest.

This hotel was situated, as stated on it's website, past south pier, sandcastle and pleasure beach... probably about 10-15 minutes walk. which by Blackpool's standards is quite a distance to the nearest shops etc. There are no other amenities near this hotel, it is somewhat isolated.
The breakfast were reasonable, everything was nice n hot. Breakfast service was good.
The bar drinks were reasonably priced, bar service was good. The bar was completely closed on a sunday, which was not very good when you have walked miles and could murder a drink! We thought we might have still been able to get a drink but were not offered anything despite asking.
The rooms were varied: we had a small double which was reasonably kitted out, but a bit shabby in places. Bed was uncomfortable, TV with built in DVD but no remote control, telephone did not work, tea n coffee facilities were replenished but cups not washed day to day, towels were plentiful and changed regularly if left on the floor.
We also had a family room, this was cleaner and generally better laid out, Tv but no DVD (altho they did have a remote!), beds were more comfortable, again cups were not cleaned when tea/coffees topped up.
Service at reception was not exceptional but was adequate.
All in all it was a fair hotel, in a less than perfect location.

This hotel was the best find I made at Blackpool. It is in the south of the prom, so you can take a nice easy stroll either way to find what you like.
From the outside to the inside it was clean and tidy, the warm welcome and the relax atmosphere is what you need to unwind. There are no stag or hen parties, only couples and families.
We only stayed for two nights on a short break and could have stayed a little longer. This hotel is one I will recommend to all relatives and friends going to Blackpool.
Many thanks hope to return.
