Situated in a beautiful, quiet setting yet close to the centre, this attractive chalet style hotel has a warm friendly atmosphere and an excellent reputation. Many guests return to the Lek year after year.
We went to Kransjka Gora for our first skiing holiday and we loved it!
The resort is beautiful - the scenery is just amazing. It snowed nearly all the time we were there but we had a couple of days of sunshine as well - perfect conditions for us. The atmosphere is relaxed and the people are friendly - even when you can't understand them.
The Hotel Lek was really nice - comfortable and clean and if you find the shortcuts close to the slopes. The food was nice... enough choice for there to be something we liked everyday and a great selection at breakfast to set you up for the day.
The spa area is really nice although the "no costumes" rule is a little off putting to us reserved English!
I would recommend this resort and this hotel to anyone wanting to try skiing. The slopes are great for beginners and the instructors at Ski School Bernik are brilliant. They're helpful, friendly and fun which makes learning easy. Most of the lifts are easy button drag lifts - there are only a couple of awkward t bars.
The only downsides are:
1) if you're an experienced skier I think you'd be bored - most of the slopes are blue runs although there is a chair lift to Podkoren which is a little more challenging and 2) the ski school classes can be 2 big which means the instructor is too stretched between different abilities so you get less learning time (but lots of practice).
