Marriott Hotel Bexleyheath

We stayed here the night before we went to see the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch to save a long drive from home to the circuit on the day of the race.
When we checked in we were delighted to find we had been upgraded to the honeymoon suite. This was very handy as we were travelling with our 2 year old and I didn’t fancy sitting in the same room, in the dark while we tried to get him to sleep at 8pm. The suite had a huge sleeping area with a four poster bed and lots or storage space. In the lounge area there was a 3 piece suite and 2 armchairs. It was just like being at home. The wife was happy as she was able to curl up and watch the box.
The only disappointing thing about the room was the state of the bathroom. The ceiling was in a terrible state and it looked like there had been a water leek from above at some point. In the shower, the seal around the shower head was leaking too, so most of the water shot out over the top of the shower screen, soaking the floor. The bathroom was clean though, it just looked a bit unloved compared to the rest of the hotel.
As we were tired from a long day of driving we decided to have room service. The food was excellent and delivered promptly. Just a little over priced as normal. Breakfast the next morning was in the restaurant. Lots of choice and great service. Managed a nice big fry up before heading off to Brands Hatch.
Only major niggle is the noise from the road. The hotel is situated on a cross roads for two major A roads. So you have blaring sirens passing on a frequent basis. Not good if you’re trying to get a 2 year old to sleep. “Daddy, Nee Naw!”…
