Would never EVER stay here EVER EVER EVER again.
Digusting room, Very disapointed. Would not advise anyone to stay here. Digusting Breakfast, Charges £10. Bread Stale, Bacon Uncooked. Very freaky!!! Plates with Father Christmas on the wall. Freaky decor, Dolls in glass cabinets. Stay here if you are Mad. Would rather sleep in the car. ICK, Yuck, Rank!!!
Do Not Stay Here:- Go to the holiday inn
This cottage seemed very quaint and pretty when we first arrived. The woman on reception was brusque and sharp with us as she could not find our booking. We had booked through late rooms. I wondered whether she wanted our custom or not as although she could not find our booking they had vacancies. Our small room was overcrowded with a double and two singles (it was no way big enough for a family room). There was no wardrobe. Cobwebs hung from the ceilings. A previous guest's razor was left in the bathroom. Both lights in the... more
Avoid this place
Our car broke down and it was the only place in the area which we could go. The lady at the reception was rather cold and indifferent and we had to pay upfront. Initially It seems like a really nice place. She asked us if we wanted breakfast and I said yes. This cost us 30pounds extra for two adults and one 5yr old boy who only ever has a bowl of cornflakes.. Breakfast was described as a "full English" consisted of mainly tinned items.. disgusting and insulting as this cost 10 pounds each. The cutlery was encrusted in dryed up egg... more
What a Dump! - Do not stay Here!!
This hotel - if that is what you can call it is the worst I have ever stayed in! I paid up front on arrival - what a mistake - otherwise I would of checked out as soon as I had arrived. Stayed in room 7 - a converted garage type room which was worse than my husband's work shop. Absolutely filthy, run-down and damp. Spiders ( lots ) - Electrical wires dangling. En-suite shower /toilet was a joke - small, dirty, broken tiles, hairs and leaves! Dusky pink toilet brush - what year was this colour produced? tells you everything - disgusting. Tv... more
wouldnt leave my dog there
The picture of the hotel looked nothing like it when we got there. We had to pay £10 extra if we wanted breafast and it was not edible. The 2nd morning we thought we would cancel breakfast but it was non refundable. The chap who owned it watched you on cctv while you were having your meal (we thought this strange). If you wanted extra coffee or milk for your room you had to pay for it. If you would like to stay there i suggest you take your own condiments as they are well out of date!!!
Don't Go There !
Was "greeted" by a very arrogant, rude woman (the owner?). Wished us to pay upfront. The rooms were DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY, and smelt of damp. The food was INEDIBLE and not cheap at £16/person. We simply did not eat it. It is a total sham, a waste of money, and the place should be re-built with new owners who know how to look after guests. DO NOT GO THERE - although it looks quite nice on the photos (old beamed cottage), this is not the case once you are there. Totally outrageous.
Worst place I have ever stayed in
Was greeted in a less than friendly manner and asked to pay for my 3days immediately. My single ensuite room was tiny and the bathroom so small that you needed to be a contortionist to use it. General state of decor and facilities poor. Breakfast at £10 extra was very poor value and not very nice to eat. Quite noisy as close to motorway junction. Overpriced and unwelcoming!
A lot to complain about
Not a good experience. First our booking for a double room was misfiled so someone else got our room and we ended up crammed into a tiny single. They did show us the room and ask if we wanted it, but at that time of night we had little choice. The "single room" was actually a loft conversion in an outbuilding where I could only stand up straight in a 2-foot strip along the centre. The en-suite shower and toilet were cramped to the point of being unusable. The rather expensive breakfast (£10 per head) was also poor quality: tinned tomatoes,... more
never again for warren cottage
What was once clearly a traditional small picture postcard hotel has gone badly to seed. In the bedroom, large areas of the walls were bare plaster where the paint had flaked off. In the bathroom, tiles were falling off and it was not clean, with several cobwebs. The general run down nature of the place and the demeanour of the hostess added up to a pretty negative (and at £105.00, not cheap) experience.
