I went here for a week with my girlfriend and her grand parents, nice hotel overall, very clean, polite staff, entertianment pretty good, night time was a bit spanish but they had the entertainer speak various languages, drinks and food were nice, bit variety now and again, good mixture of people, area was great, good fun etc, would suit families, group of friends for a laugh. pools were clean and very nice, some good music in the morning to dance too, beach just down the road, very nice beach too... overall it was a nice relaxing... more

Now just called the Pueblo, and very handy for the Sunday market which is right next door. We found the hotel to be very full of older type ladies and gentlemen, no children in sight anywhere but no doubt this was because of the time of year. The check in was handled very professionally. The room was spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was very good indeed, and plentiful. The exterior of the property no way reflects the inside - all the public areas are faultless and very clean. The lifts were a little bit slow at times, but the stairs are well maintained and do not take you down a crumby fire escape route like some hotels do! Just got back from this hotel, yesterday. October 25th. Very disappointed. I stayed here with my son,aged 10. The room we had was very small, just about big enough for 1 person on their own. The room we had was in the annexe, which Resembled a prison block!. The food was poor, there was hardly any choice for children , some nights there wasn't even chips, although they had them at breakfast!. I went to the barcelo in august for 11nights. We went half board and the food was lovley my kids enjoyed every single bit about this holiday. Stayed at this hotel from 3rd September for 2 weeks with my husband and young baby. Problems encountered regarding room from the second we arrived. A point to note - if you are travelling as 2 adults and 1 infant and are paying for a double room - think again. The rooms are the size of a prison cell (you could not fit a cot in the room without removing all other furniture - for health and safety reasons - totally unacceptable. I stayed at the barcelo pueblo on the 23rd of july for 1 week, i loved it the hotel was realy clean, the staff were very friendly. i stayed all inclusive i had no problems getting served, all you had to was sign a receipt no trouble at all. The food was realy nice. there was a variety of things my kids are very funny with there food but there was always something for them to eat. There was a life guard on all day around the pool. just got back from the Barcelo Pueblo. We stayed all inclusive which was well worth the money. All the staff around the hotel was very friendly. The reception staff were very helpful too, any information you needed they could always give you. I stayed on the 8th floor which had a very good view of the pools and was very clean.
