I stayed in the Vancouver apartments for 2 weeks. I really enjoyed it. At first we were a bit afraid as we read bad reviews of the apartments such as ants all around the room, beds not being changed, not getting clean towels etc. All of this was rubbish.
We got our beds changed about 3 times during our 2weeks but we were left in clean sheets frequently. Our apartment got cleaned every second day which meant we got clean towels then to. Maids were very nice and pleasant.
The pool area was clean with a very good life guard who worked from 10.00am to 7.30pm.the pool bar served nice food although we didn’t eat out of their much as their was a supermarket across the street and another hotel which we eat of.
I would recommend these apartments to everyone reading about them and don’t listen to the bad comments about them as we did.
I would defiantly return to the Vancouver.

I really enjoyed my holiday stay at Vancouver. This hasn’t been my first time in Salou but the apartment was very big and there was loads of room.
There were to bedrooms which were white big and then the kitchen and living area. The apartment was clean we were very impressed when we arrived. The maids came in everyday and gave clean towels and clean sheets and they empty the rubbish for us.
Everyone was very friendly. The bar served nice food although there wasn’t much option there was a supermarket and restaurant across the road which was great they served breakfasts and dinners.
Cap Salou is small but it is nice. There are a few restaurants in cap Salou and some shops there’s also a local nightclub there which was good fun at night time and it stayed open until 3.30 am.
I would definitely stay in the Vancouver again if I was to go back to Salou because it’s cheap and has the same standard as any other hotel I’ve stayed in the past in cap Salou.
The staff and receptionists were very friendly.

I didn't really like it here because we had ants everywhere.
My bed was broken and it took them a week to come and fix it.
The pool were ok. Entertainers were fab; Jodie, Chloe and Laura kept us happy. On one of the nights, there was only our family who were there; we had so much fun dancing.
We will be back at Salou, but not here.

Just come back after 2 weeks out there. Let’s hope this helps others.
You will have to give a £70 deposit at reception when you arrive which is refunded at the end.
The apartment was clean with good working air con. No TV’s but everything else is there.
The pool is small at the hotel with limited amount of loungers. Pool is a bit dirty where the lap line is and a couple of small tiles are missing around the edge.
The pool at the sister hotel across the road is bigger but then every one uses it as well
Dont think the kids will be at kids club all day as it’s a B&Q large shed and only open for about 3 hours at a time now and again. The kids are not fenced off which was a problem that they need to sort.
The supermarket and local pubs are on par with the UK in terms of cost. So not a cheap holiday when it comes to drinks by the pool etc.
To eat out at night you can walk 1/2 a mile to cap Salou's pubs. Find the Knights pub where the food is great for kids and quite cheap as well. The smugglers is another nice pub but you will pay more there.
The water park was excellent for all ages of kids with a dolphin show so well worth a visit.
Get tickets on line over here for Portaventura which is great fun but aimed at the bigger kids. Ride waiting time is about 1 hour for the best ones in the sun is not much fun though. If you use the Porta hotel you get to have a wrist band that allows you to go straight on the rides without the queue. This is what I would do myself. Use the little tractor bus to get there and it costs about the same as the normal bus but its more fun.
The local bus service runs every 15 mins and its better than using a taxi 7 euros (3 adults 2 children) into Salou.
My quick sum up....
3 kids me and the wife we spent with a couple of trips and eating and drinking as you would back home about £1500 over 2 weeks. So when you put the price of the holiday on top it’s about £4500 to go to Spain for 2 weeks. Have a look on last min and Expedia and compare how much full inclusive deals are for 5 star hotels in other parts for 1 week and you realise that the Costa is now an expensive option.
Hope that helps.

Not very clean, army of ants every morning.
Noisy bar area, and not enough staff to cope with demand, drunken teenagers everywhere. Nice pool, very clean, good lifeguard.
Entertainment not up to much, even cheesier than butlins.
A bit far out for our liking, buses not often enough and always full and stopped at midnight, so taxi`s ripped the English off all the time.
Would not go back, did not like Cap Salou not enough going on, Spain has got very pricey it is cheaper to go to Florida, so will be giving it a miss for a good few years.

We had a great time at the Vancouver in Cap Salou, it was an excellent family holiday and everyone was very nice.
The apartment, food and entertainment was excellent and we had 3 children under five.
It’s very central from all facilities, with buses going every ten mins or so to all the fav destinations, we would go back again as it was a fab family resort.

First time away on a sunshine holiday family found it great.
Apartments were of very good standard, entertainment brill, kids time very good.
Had 2 weeks of good family fun. Had a few trips out - theme park was a bit of a bore as having 4, the oldest being 10 at the time and the youngest being 4, only managed to get the oldest on about 4 of the big rides.
The smaller rides were ok, kept the little one happy.
Went to neu camp and zoo very good day out. Best of all was the jeep safari up in to the hills never been so hot guides were a laugh and not just a drive loads of local info to.
The kids enjoyed the free wine tasting at lunch time. Salou was very nice, clean beaches, plus all the usual holiday bargains to buy.
All in all had a brill time going this year to Bellevue apartments in Alcudia.

Rooms spacious and tidy, kitchen ok, ants got on my nerves a bit, beds were very uncomfortable never slept properly in two weeks until last night through exhaustion.
Maids were friendly and kept apartment clean.
Bar was expensive at times never fancied the fast food burgers or chips, cocktails were ok had a choice of two.
Entertainment was aimed at kids mainly not sure what age group though. Entertainment got a bit repetitive by the second week.
Pool wasn’t bad a bit run down on closer inspection, kids park consisted of climbing frame and two swings (pap).
Kid’s world was a large garden she’d hidden around the corner. Spent a few days going to Salou buses are regular not bad prices. There were a few handbag thefts on busy buses when we were there. Found Spaniards arrogant.
Nice food to be found round the corner (treasure island and the paddock) nice beaches watch out for the sharp hidden rocks in the sea (ouch it hurt).
Aquapolis (Aqua Park) was good kids loved the seals and dolphin show. Kids were not overly impressed with Port Aventura long waits for short rides. I would use Vancouver apartment for base only if nothing else was available. I don’t think I would visit mainland Spain again though.

I can not believe reading some of the other reviews that people have written about this place all I can say they must have had their eyes closed.
I have 4 children under the age 9. This was the worst holiday my family has ever had. The place was dirty we had millions of ants living in our kitchen and any food I bought, the bed sheets were never changed in 2 weeks, the towels were amazing they had more rips in them so the wasn’t much towel to actually dry yourself with.
My husband and my 2 children got stuck in the lift, which made my 2 children extremely frightened, when they let them out they weren’t at all concerned they were horrible. The next morning I got up walked past the lift to my horror the lift doors were wide open with a coffee table stopping people going in and a massive drop inside the lift shaft. Once again spoke to rep not interested.

My family and I had our first holiday abroad this year and were really excited to be going to Cap Salou to stay in the Vancouver apartments.
When we booked the holiday I requested a 1st floor apartment but when we arrived we were put in a 3rd floor apartment. We were disappointed but decided to start unpacking when a knock came on the door from a very rude receptionist who informed us not to touch anything and that we had been put in the wrong room. There was no apology she just gave us keys to a ground floor apartment which I definitely did not want.
We decided to just make the most of things but were horrified the next day when we saw the state of the pool and the sun loungers they were filthy. There were bits of tiles on the bottom of the pool and the sun loungers (when you could get one) where covered in ants and dirt.
The bathroom switch came off in my hand one day so my husband reported it to reception who informed us that it would be fixed the next day but never was. We pushed our children’s beds together and were greeted with exposed electrical wires protruding from the wall. We won’t be returning to Vancouver again!
