Apartments clean and roomy. Reception staff downright surly and uninterested. All on site facilities: pub and supermarket etc were closed. This was not pointed out when booking.

Good bus and taxi service, just as well, as there was absolutely nothing to do or see near the apartments.

I would not recommend going here at this time of year. Salou is not so bad, but again everything is closing down for Winter.

I and my boyfriend had the pleasure of staying in the Siesta Dorada complex, when I went on an educational to research the area.

The apartments are lovely, very spacious and clean.

The bus stops outside the door and is very reasonable to get into Salou centre or La Pineda.

We loved Portaventura and although I don't have any children, I will definitely go back when I have them. Ideal for families.

Thanks to all at Siesta Dorada.

Just back from cap Salou and had an excellent time. The apartments were brill very clean and spacious only problem towels only changed twice in our week stay.

The pool area was great with lots of room and the food in bar was great and reasonable priced. We traveled with first choice and the rep was just ok day trips were expensive.

Cap Salou was a very quiet area with a very small beach but we traveled on the excellent bus service every night at a very cheap rate to Salou Cambrils or La Pineda with a bus stop outside the apartments it was very handy.

Truly an excellent place to go and would love to go back someday.

The apartments were large and spacious but that’s about all I can say that’s positive.

Our room looked out over a busy road with 24 hour traffic, was above an awful English pub with Karaoke every night til 2am and the apartment wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. The pool was a few minutes from our apartment as all the rooms away from the road and near the pool were for private let. The pool was shut for the majority of our stay. When it was open, inflatables and balls were banned (bit strange for a family apartment) and the grass round the pool made it impossible to sunbath (clearly not been cut for weeks).

The apartments are in Cap Salou - 5-minute bus ride from La Pineda and 10-minute bus ride to Salou. Cap Salou is a purely British resort with awful pubs and cafes and a tiny beach. Only good thing was the bus service - buses every few minutes to get you out of the place!!

At least this was a cheap last minute deal cos if we’d paid brochure price I would be in tears by now... by far the worst holiday I’ve ever been on.

Just back yesterday from these apartments in Cap Salou. Apartments were lovely - even had a separate kitchen for a change. Clean towels (3 times a week - although there weren’t enough towels for the five of us) and given clean bed sheets after 6 days. Pool area was kept spotlessly clean. Drinks were very expensive in the bar downstairs - we only actually went there twice as there was no entertainment for adults or kids.

Cap Salou in itself is very quiet and not much happening there. Kids would’ve been bored stiff if we did not venture into Salou everyday. We reckon we spent around £175.00 on buses or taxis (it is cheaper to get a taxi than the bus and even cheaper to do the half hour walk there and the half hour walk back - did this once and we were absolutely knackered!!) into Salou throughout the 2 weeks we were on holiday.

Salou centre has lots of good restaurants such as the Dog and Duck and an excellent pub called the Rose and Crown. This pub (run by Ann-Marie and Albert) was great fun at night - quizzes and bingo (with bottles for prizes!). Our kids got quite excited at the prospect of winning!

The temp was quite unusual for this time of year (in the late 70's for all the 2 weeks). But we were infested with flies - everywhere - on you, going on the food/drinks, on the tables. We had never seen so many flies. The locals said it was something to do with the time of year.

As it was near the end of the season, a lot of places were shut down - including most eating places. We were rather limited. The second week, the kids couldn’t get a decent ice lolly as freezers were nearly empty everywhere.

We wouldn’t go back to Cap Salou as there was a big lack of facilities and a big chunk of our spending money was spent on travelling into Salou. We also wouldn’t recommend going to either Cap Salou or Salou at this time of year, due to the lack of eateries and ice lollies!

We are however, considering booking up for Salou for next summer (as we did 2 years ago) when the resort is buzzing - but not with flies!!!

Accommodation was very good, clean and well equipped. We had a dishwasher.

Entertainment was rubbish nothing for the kids, no rings allowed in the pool and the nighttime entertainment was boring everywhere died at around 11.30.

A lot of these apartments are Spanish owned and can be very noisy and some of the goings on not for small eyes.

If you needed to be kept awake you had to get a taxi 6 euros or bus 1.25 euros to go into Salou centre.

Costa Cariba Water Park was a rip off had to hire water rings for about 3 rides. No need to look after bags it the water rings they steal and at 7 euros you need them tied around your waist. Take plenty of money I was 45 euros before I got near a bed and 25 of that was in deposits.

Port Aventura was good try to buy tickets before you good 35 euros each at the hotels.

Went 2 Salou 2 yrs ago and will not be back. Got very tacky and commercial.

Clean spacious apartments. Towels and linen changed frequently.

Lovely pool area, with ample sized kiddies pool and plenty of sun beds.

Poolside bar good and not over priced.

Staff very helpful.

We did have one complaint which was promptly resolved (smell coming from kitchen pipe)

2 of our children took an eye infection, when staff heard this they immediately emptied the kiddies pool, refilled, and checked etc.

Overall a great place to stay, for families...not the club scene!!!
