Summary: Flights - Poor. Holiday - Great Value For Money. Hotel - Great, small bedrooms though.
We flew with Ryanair, not a great experience. Cramped and no dinner!. Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse we touched down to meet our guide. My family of four were travelling from the North West of England on an early flight whilst my family in London were getting a later flight. When we met the guide she told us that we were going to Hotel San Fran. and that the other were going to stay in a different hotel! (We booked it to stay in the same hotel).
When we arrived at the hotel, we got everything sorted out and the London based family could stay in the hotel. The rooms were on the small side but well kept. For a family of four, they weren't big enough but 2-3 would've been fine. The hotel had two nice pools, balconies and a great family room. The entertainment was fantastic and the food was up to standards too.
Salou is a great place. Some would say it's Blackpool in the sun :) but we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The surrounding bars were brilliant (Idols to be precise) and eating out was good too (Chippies is well recommended if you're looking for a quick English snack :D).
The nightlife was alright, but being so close to the hustle and bustle sometimes wasn't so great for the little ones. It became very busy at night but I'd recommend it for a families/couples/people looking for a good time. Salou has something for everyone. The beach was located about a 5 minute walk from our hotel and it was fantastic.
The water park and theme park is good value for money. My family actually enjoyed the waterpark even more so than the theme park (Portaventura). The theme park has four zones each with different kinds of rides for everyone from Log flume to full on rollercoaster thrills. I particularly enjoyed the swings which I’d recommend to everyone who isn't keen on the big rollercoaster rides. It was a great day for the kids and adults alike. We stayed till closing which was about 12 at night. After that we stayed to watch the fireworks show they put on which was very entertaining.
The next day we went to the waterpark. There's so much to enjoy. I even when on a dingy ride it was so fast though but thoroughly enjoyable. Slides, pools, water waves galore. It was an amazing day.
Salou, a great time for everyone.

Flew from Birmingham airport early hours of the 6th July all went smoothly and we managed to depart ten minutes early.
Landed in Reus airport was met by the sunset (Thomas cook) rep. he was very friendly quite funny made the short transfer from airport to hotel quite enjoyable, after the 20 minute transfer we was at the hotel.
As we went to check in we were told it would be a two hour wait for our rooms...we didn’t think that was very good as they should of been prepared for us there wasn’t much of a apology for our inconvenience and having been told it would be a maximum 15 minute wait for our room to be finished we were very miffed.
When we eventually got into the room the first impressions were good it was very clean and spacious basic, but spacious.
Restaurant - I and my boyfriend were quite let down by the food, as it’s a 3 star hotel we expected a vast amount of food choice but what little food was there wasn’t of a good quality and it all catered for Russians and Germans.
The only blessing for me and my boyfriend was a toaster and butter and jam in the morning and at night a salad bar chips and the chef who would cook sauages, burgers, fish, and steaks. otherwise we would have gone hungry.
Salou area - Really good bars and a nice area to shop in.

My boyfriend & myself stayed for one week at this hotel. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the beach, the centre of Salou, bars, restaurants & shops. Although the room was quite basic, it was clean & the air conditioning was great.
The food was grand, the maid service was excellent and most of the staff where very friendly. As we went independently & had no reps to refer to, we did tend to ask reception a lot of questions and we found them to be very helpful and informative, especially regarding local transport and directions.
Only minor things let the hotel down, for example, there was no mini fridge in the room to allow you to keep water etc cold, the entertainment was a bit lacking, however there was plenty outside of the hotel.
One day to Barcelona is not enough, nor is it enough to spend at the theme park, Port Aventura. I would definitely go back to Salou (the promenade is quite beautiful, especially at night) and I wouldn’t mind staying at this hotel again but if I had the choice I would try a different hotel next time.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 weeks in June and had a great holiday! Our room was overlooking a busy bar but we had been made aware of the noise before we booked so had been expecting it, after a few nights we got used to it! Wasn’t sure what to expect with the food but we found it great and there was a large selection.
The pool was small but nice. The hotel is also in a great location, its nr to plenty of nightlife and restaurants, particularly a great Indian restaurant! Overall it was a great hotel and better than I expected as we hadn’t paid that much for the holiday! The only bad thing was the entertainment which wasn’t very good!

This hotel was ok if you want to be in the heart and sole of the clubbing atmosphere! went with my friend and we thought Salou was great! Shame about a few things!!
It was right next door to a bar called idols which was open until the early hours, it plays loud music so if your room backs out onto the road don’t count on an early night. That being said I do recommend that you go to idols!
A few positives was that the hotel did have a pool, some of the male staff were quite hot and its close to the town centre. I enjoyed my holiday in Salou and would go back, however, I would not stay at this hotel again.

This is my second visit to Salou, and this hotel was fantastic, rooms were cleaned and bedding changed daily. The staff were very friendly and all who I talked to spoke excellent English.
The food was second to none and there was a very good selection every day. The pool area was kept very clean and the pool bar prices were reasonable.
Only a two minute walk to shops, bars and supermarkets.
The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of 10 is that it can be a bit noisy as a bar called Idols is situated right next to the hotel, but to be honest it didn't really bother me and my wife as we were out almost every night until gone 3 in the morning, there is also live entertainment at the hotel three nights a week.
Will definitely go to this hotel again.
