Treworgans is a quiet campsite with only 21/22 caravans situated within the grounds. It's just a short drive from the small village cubert, and is surrounded by fields and farmland animals.
It has varied sized vans, we opted to stay in the smallest although it was plenty big enough. Even though only small it has everything you really need to ensure you get through the holiday without any problems. There is a laundry room which has two washing machines and a dryer, also there is an ironing board and iron so i suppose thats one less thing to take.
They also have a whole range of leaflets with alsorts of different ideas for days out and activities. There is a payphone on site aswell, with a seat just in case its a long call. There is a small shop that when you first get there you probably would mistake for a summer house, but it does stock a range of groceries. The family who run it are always on hand just in case anything does go wrong or you just want some advice on the area. This site is perfect for older people who want to relax without being woken up by loud music from an onsite club, or parents with children both young and old simply for the same reason and it is child friendly and there are no cars speeding around like boy racers.
It gives you the freedom to come and go as you please and if you are looking for a bit of nightlife etc then there are lots of local pubs if you dont mind a short drive or a small taxi fare. If you want a proper night out clubbing etc then Newquay is approx 4miles away and is filled with pubs and clubs, something to suit everyone.
There is a post office and shop in the village of Cubert, and a restaurant and fish and chip shop. There was a pub called the treetops but it got pulled down by someone who bought it to try and make holiday flats but that is no longer going ahead because the council refused it. So fingers crossed the treetops will be up and running in the near future, as it was a lovely little village pub with great food and staff.
Nearby Holywell Bay boasts a fun park and a fantastic beach with good surf and a snacks bar, oh yes and with lifeguards. If you feel like taking the bus one day then you are in luck as the buses regularly pick up from Cubert taking people to Newquay and Truro, they are also buggy friendly so thumbs up to that.
A day out i would recommend would be the camel trail from Wadebridge to Padstow, even when the weather is not so good its still a brilliant day. You can hire bikes from both places and there is plenty of parking, for both bikes and cars so don't forget your bike chains. I found Padstow was the nicer of the two places so we figured that if we started in Wadebridge we could then look round Padstow and get a bite to eat before heading back.
This isn't just for the exercise mad people, its for everyone as you can go at your own pace and there is a range of bikes available. Some even have special trailers for the little ones and if they are babies they have some special designed ones. You don't have to ride a bike of course, you can walk it or run!! Dogs are allowed so perfect if you've bought the pet.
I could honestly go on all day about all the fun stuff and interesting stuff there is to do in Cornwall its the perfect holiday destination as it caters for all needs. I've been going down all the way from Yorkshire for about 10 years and I still love it.
Try it you will love it too TRUST ME!!!
